NASA spent 20 years building microfluidic chemical analysis technology for planetary science missions. It never left the lab.
We took it out.
Deleon Technologies builds the Otea: a miniaturized microfluidics platform that performs daily biochemical analysis from a single drop of urine. 10 amino acids tracking energy production, tissue repair, and recovery. Lab-grade data from a device smaller than a microwave, for $2 per test.
The biometrics market has a gap that nobody fills: Wearables measure the surface but miss everything underneath. Blood tests go deep but cost hundreds of dollars, so people do them quarterly or monthly at best. We sit in the middle: biochemical depth at daily time resolution.
No one else does this. Not because they didn’t want to; because the instrumentation was just too expensive since you needed giant machines operated by PhDs. With Deleon, now anyone can get this data in their bathroom.
What we've done so far:
→ Fabricated microfluidic chips without a cleanroom. Our timeline was two years. We got it done in two months.
→ Built and shipped an MVP doing daily biochemical testing integrated with wearable data, one month after funding.
→ Operated for a full year pre-funding on founder conviction alone.
Backed by @BoostVC. Advised by Dr. Facundo Fernández, a global authority in metabolomics at Georgia Tech. Built on lab work NASA has bet millions on since the late '90s.
The foundation model we're building isn't just for understanding the human metabolome. It's for understanding how life works, at a fundamental level. The Otea is just one kind of node, and the human body is only one kind of test tube.
We're starting with athletes and expanding from there. The beachhead is endurance training. The endgame is a digital twin of your biochemistry that catches disease at onset, not at symptoms.
This is personal metabolomics. It's never been possible before. Now we're doing it.
I've been using the technology at @deleon_omics to understand my recovery and see how my metabolism works. Im combining it with my VO2 max data to train for my Ironman 70.3.
Less than four weeks to go until Chattanooga!
Your metabolism isn't static. It changes every day based on what you eat, how you move, and how well you recover. Deleon measures it daily so you can actually see those changes.

How did this lead to Deleon? Miniaturized, automated chemistry needed for NASA missions inspired our portable Otea urine analysis device.
Mars just gave us the strongest evidence yet that alien life once existed there.
NASA already has the samples packed up on @NASAPersevere.
The question: are we going to bring them home, or let China do it first? 🧵
With a single drop of urine every day, our device builds a digital clone of your health.
Today, that means better training, faster recovery, and more personalized wellness insights.
Tomorrow, it could mean something bigger...
At Deleon, we believe your body’s biochemistry is the deepest signal of wellness.
Wearables track steps, sleep, and heart rate — but they stop at the surface. We go further, measuring the molecules that drive metabolism, recovery, and disease.
