For decades, the global pipeline for developing and delivering new antibiotics has worked in reverse, leaving countries with the highest burden of bacterial infections waiting years for new treatments.

In his latest op-ed for @Telegraph, GARDP Deputy Executive Director Peter Beyer argues that Thailand's fast-track approval of zoliflodacin signals a different way forward — one where public health need, scientific innovation and access are built into antibiotic R&D from the outset.
