Father’s Day... a day set aside to celebrate our everyday heroes. The men who quietly carry the weight of responsibility, often without applause, fanfare, or thanks. Maybe that’s because for most of them, the reward isn’t in being praised, it’s in seeing their families thrive.
That’s why I’m truly grateful to @TheDAOLabs for dedicating this special week to fathers who mine more than crypto, they mine legacy.
This year’s focus is even more unique: we’re not just celebrating dads, but #SocialMining Dads, men who juggle the demands of fatherhood and community work in the ever-evolving Web3 space.
And that brings me to someone I deeply admire:

A graduate.
A husband.
A father of three- two lively boys and one adorable girl.
Mr. Samuel is the very definition of “present fatherhood.” He doesn’t just work hard to provide, he shows up. He’s that dad who ensures the homework gets done, the meals are nutritious, and the bedtime stories are told, even if he has a deadline waiting. He pushes daily to give his children the best education and a warm, love-filled home.
He’s not just raising kids, he’s raising leaders.
💻 As a Social Miner
Mr. Samuel began his Web3 journey in mid-2020, but it was in June 2022 that he joined the DaoLabs Social Mining Community, and the game truly changed. He’s been making waves, especially in the Avalanche Hub, where his contributions have not only been consistent but also deeply impactful.
In a space where many lurk, Mr. Samuel leads.
He’s not just doing the work, he’s helping shape the culture.
Here’s what makes him stand out:
1. He never stops learning.
Despite his busy schedule and accomplishments, you’ll find him first to arrive at the African Teaching Series on Sundays always eager to soak up new knowledge. While many might sit on their experience, he continues to build.
2. He shares freely
Mr. Samuel is a mentor by nature. I personally requested a private session on how Avalanche works, and without hesitation, he made time. That’s just who he is, always ready to teach, always ready to lift others up
3. He’s the Reddit Dad
Reddit has been a tough terrain for many Nigerian social miners, bans, confusion, loss of karma. But Mr. Samuel took it upon himself to revive the Reddit support Telegram group, alongside Mama Nipek and Sir Murat. Today, many of us are finding our footing again, thanks to their guidance
So how does he do it all?
It’s all about balance and priorities.
By day, he dedicates himself to his family and NGO work. By evening, he becomes a social mining machine, completing tasks with precision and quality that consistently checks every box.
