Thank you for this video! I agree that we need to change the way the schools operate, not the kids. My school has taken a great step towards this goal. We have incorporated Restorative Justice Practices, which really helps meet the needs of all of our students!

@Molly_Steede Hi Molly! I love implementing Restorative Justice Practices in my classroom! I have noticed my students' behavior changing. There are a lot less behavior issues, which means a lot more learning is happening and students are more respectful towards each other. #RJE

@lizwaldorf4 Hi Liz! Thank you for sharing this! I try so hard to incorporate these strategies within my distance learning classroom. Lately, I have been really focusing on my students finding their voice. I have been using the break out rooms option on Zoom to facilitate turn and talks.

States should be providing more funding to schools, especially those with students who come from low-income families! Test scores should not matter how much funding a school receives. Not providing funding to needier schools is widening the achievement gap. #educurrentissues

I love these strategies! I use almost all of them in my distance learning classroom. I do a lot of modeling, activate my students' prior knowledge by having them fill out KWL charts, and am super excited to start literature circles!
