Hi! I don't tweet much because... you know, Twitter... BUT! Delphi is going from strength and strength and the website has been really busy recently! Come on over and see how we can help build children's oracy, metacognition and love for big questions! https://t.co/6udtrUmKEW
It's been a very difficult moral question to answer, but I am on strike today. I hope the coverage today focuses on funding - and the madness of schools having to cover pay rises out of existing budgets. Every government offer has been a real terms cut on support for children.
Happy New Year! This is your occasional reminder that we have loads of resources for storytelling, oracy, developing learning skills, metacognition, history and philosophy for children on our shiny website: https://t.co/su6C3iXWzO
Merry Christmas everyone! As a little present, we've added the full set of printable resources for the Greek gods in Delphi's Guide to Athens. You can download them all, with comprehension and research questions included, in our member's area. Join today: https://t.co/w97ppdyFmR
Wonderful to meet @zarahsultana today as she visited our school to present our newly elected school council with their certificates - and give them an insight into working in politics. The children were completely overwhelmed and it was glorious ❤️
A delight to talk to first year students at Coventry University today! We did some enquiries, talked about talk and joined Delphi in her perfect bedroom. Some really lovely comments at the end too 😊
Artemis is the goddess of the hunt and the moon - and the undeniably cool, kick-ass protector of girls everywhere. She is the god for all those who are disinterested in boys and much prefer animals. Or hitting things. She is definitely Delphi's favourite.

Let's meet the gods! (Part 2)
Ares is the god of war - and perhaps surprisingly, rather unpopular in Greek times. He was the embodiment of all the suffering, the heartbreak and downright terror of war. In fact, Terror (Phobos) was his son...

Athena is the god of wisdom, intellectually, practically - but in warfare too. She was 'born' when Zeus found himself with such a blistering headache that Hephaestus had to use his axe to chop open his head - and she climbed out, in complete battle gear!

Learning about the ancient Greeks this half term? Or looking for an interactive story with lots of big questions to discuss? Well... might I humbly suggest this little (big) website we made for you...

I've bitten the bullet. I'm going to do a NPQSL and train for senior leadership... Anybody got any pearls of wisdom about what I'm letting myself in for?
Hephaestus is the god of the forge, inventor extraordinaire and actually quite a nice guy under all that hair and trauma of being thrown off a mountain. But of all his creations, are we the best? https://t.co/GiaEeMA78k
Let's meet the gods, shall we? They're an argumentative bunch so you may wish to watch out for thunderbolts - and be very careful what you ask of them...
Demeter, and the story of her daughter Persephone, is the Greeks' tale of how summer and winter came to be. But can she shed any light on the mysteries of life? Perhaps if Delphi stops making her cry first...

I might have missed seeing @officialnhaynes this week - but at least I got to head over to Bournville this afternoon and pick up a beautiful collection of signed books, which is not a bad second prize 😊
Well. I'm an idiot. Was due to see @officialnhaynes last night in Birmingham but got my dates muddled up and somehow, inexicably, forgot to go. Gutted. I was really looking forward to it too. But obviously not looking hard enough 🤦🏻
