Clancy: The continuous evasion. Quacks talking about 'diagnosing the brain'. In a lifetime career of science, I have never encountered a greater arrogance. These psychiatrists and psychologists need to provide me with a complete mapping and functional specification of the human brain before I accept any absolute determination or 'diagnosis' regarding it’s functioning. There is no such specification rendering them nothing more than Medieval quacks. The Clancy case therefore reverts to motive. Mandel's analysis is superficial and infantile as is most other opinions surrounding this case all of which miss several points two being the most critical: (1) The 'mother child bond' is the strongest force in human emotional capacity (2) What was Lindsey Clancy's motive? Without motive the arguments fail when item (1) is considered leaving one with only one alternative which is a disturbed state of such degree that reality disappears.

The AI race is an oxymoron. The primary requirement for any activity and/or entity to be defined as a ‘race’ means there has to be a finish line.
There is no such ‘finish line’ in the AI race therefore it is not a race, but a parody, executed by diseased pompous show-offs, ill-qualified charlatan fake scientists. It’s a case of ‘look Mummy, look how clever I am. Look what I can do Mummy’. There is no adult maturity visible anywhere in this out-of-control drunken orgy hurtling into the 9 circles of Dante’s Inferno, a Stygian darkness.
