@katiejwoo@CardTerritory Thanks Katie. Great answer. I like Marmol and I think stability and consistency matter when you are trying to establish or re-establish culture. The Miami Heat are my favorite example.
@katiejwoo@CardTerritory What level of confidence does Dewitt and FO have in Marmol? Is he the guy to take the team all the way through reset to contention or do they see him as a likely bridge that develops young players that they move on from?
@JeffreyPWiesner Betrayal, false accusations, and hurt are a part of ministry. We pastors must model the role of building friendships inside with members and outside with other pastors. To fail to make friends in ministry is a recipe for failure in ministry.
I ask you to take a moment to listen to this sobering sermon clip regarding the reality of hell.
If you are not a believer in Jesus yet, ask God if this is true.

@ThomRainer I help lead a pastors’ cohort in South Florida. I believe the need that drives guys to be a part of it is the need to build relationships with other pastors in their community.
@DGrantGaines Our church was started 110 years ago in a Victorian house downtown. That house is now an excellent and expensive restaurant. The church gave us a gift certificate to their amazing brunch. Meaningful. Thoughtful.

Two seemingly contradictory currents mark our society
1. There is a denunciation of all claims of absolute truth
2. Yet there is also a fanaticism in which one position or group is absolutely right, nothing is ambiguous, and divergent views should be destroyed
A totalitarian society is one in which an ideology seeks to displace all prior traditions and institutions, with the goal of bringing all aspects of society under control of that ideology.
