@andrewatEWR @RepJackBergman@ALPAPilots Pilots are living longer and healthier lives, it’s not just pilots, the whole world is moving towards heading in the direction of longer and more productive work lives. ICAO will change but the US might need to take the lead. Australia/NZ and Japan are onboard too.
@andrewatEWR @RepJackBergman@ALPAPilots A very small fraction of 20 million was spend. Your claim that age 67 would be a “logistical nightmare” is hogwash. Other countries have already proved that, Canada being one. It’s coming, maybe as soon as next year.
@andrewatEWR @RepJackBergman@ALPAPilots What’s not accurate? I was there at Northwest with Bergman, he was really ticked off that he missed 65, he wanted to keep flying. If the Senate turns Red this fall, we’ll see 67 attached to another bill next year. Go ahead and spend another 20 million to fight it.
@ALPAPresident@ALPAPilots@RepChuyGarcia Jason: You don’t seem to have a problem with ALPA pilots in Canada flying over 65, why? This is strictly an economic issue, nothing to do with safety.
@Highside713@ALPAPilots Actually, no that’s not true, switching a widebody CA with a narrow body CA will result in 2 training cycles. A new hire involves 9 training cycles.
@WestJetALPA@ALPAPilots So you support over 65 pilots at West Jet but not in the US? ALPA is a strange union, discriminating against its older members.
@aerialcowboy@ALPAPresident The problem with lying to Congress is you’ve alienated all the Republicans and many of the Dems along with 40% of your line pilots, nice job!
@Pinkblazer67568@ALPAPresident@ALPAPilots The problem is that you lied to Congress about age 67, now you’ve alienated all the Republicans and a lot of Dems…nice work!
