@DuyOnlylight656@Tsar_Rus2206@kingsh0kch3k@0bserver4 Thing is we're lacking in number both in the air and at the sea to fully cover the territory. So the focus has been on getting as many ships and planes as possible, domestic production and imports. Tbh I'm not a big fan of the frantic buying either but I can see their direction.
@Tsar_Rus2206@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@0bserver4 And the resources for warfare is different for Indonesia as the focus has shifted from the army to the navy and AF to prevent foreign threats from setting foot on Indonesian soil in the first place. And so military RnD has been focused on aviation and naval production capability.
@Tsar_Rus2206@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@0bserver4 Most of CN-295 components are made by PTDI and Airbus as it was a joint venture. N219 is mostly made locally, only the engine and avionics are from abroad, as is the case with many aircraft. Hell, even Gripen still rely on foreign supply for the engine, radar, and some avionics.
@Tsar_Rus2206@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@0bserver4 No? Pindad has the production plant for the hull and Harimau APC is being developed independently from Turkey. Turret based on the Belgian design was in development but the lack of interest and funding stalls its development.
@DuyOnlylight656@Tsar_Rus2206@kingsh0kch3k@0bserver4 Those 2 PPAs from Italy being like that was because the MoD wanted different weapon systems for them (French/Turkish), while Balaputradewa is being built locally thus it can be armed from the get-go. PTDI has the manufacturing rights for CN-235/295 as it was a joint development
@Tsar_Rus2206@0bserver4@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k You do know that SPG-1 is modular, right? There is no need for a specialised UBGL SS2 variant as you can simply fix it under the barrel of standard issue SS2 and take it off again no problem.
@Tsar_Rus2206@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@0bserver4 Strange that they didn't list that specific type of grenade as domestic product because it is a Pindad product. And Pindad can also produce UBGL called SPG-1, this type has been in service for a while now. Every rifle squad is issued with one UBGL.
@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@Tsar_Rus2206@0bserver4 It's only the Marines who use RPGs and the Army is not interested in using RPG as they never even use any in the first place. Producing RPGs for only a small sub-branch of the military who's not in an urgent need for a large quantity of RPGs isn't really worth the hassle, really.
@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@Tsar_Rus2206@0bserver4 Hmm, the ships themselves are foreign made π€
But I'm sure Vietnam can produce their own ships like LPD as well. Besides, empty ship with no weapons like LPDs are easier to produce than weapon systems, right?
@DuyOnlylight656@kingsh0kch3k@Tsar_Rus2206@0bserver4 Sounds easy and simple enough, yes? Surely the mighty Vietnamese people with their superior worker's spirit and intelligence driven by Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary spirit should have already built several of these things already, right?
@tiarbaharizk@kamto_adi Yaelah tinggi mah jgn selalu jd acuan, yg penting kompetensi.
Ditambah Suharto yg jelasΒ² anti-komunis, makin rusak lah hubungan 2 negara. Klo Suharto mau bangun hubungan lg sama Soviet, mereka gk bakal mau krn kepercayaan udh rusak.
@mati_liztrik@Shota45826909 Pengadaan alutsista jgn di-stop tp dikawal krn masih kurang dan perlu modernisasi. Tulang punggung pespur kita dr thn 1980an, kapal perang dr 1960an, tank marinir dr 1950an. Pengadaan gk penting nan jelek kyk pesawat VIP, mobdin, sama pespur dr Cina dan Pakistan yg perlu di-stop.
