Nerd of many things. Player of board games, drinker of craft beer, and proponent of mixing the two. In some gaming circles, I'm apparently a verb now...
@dtoher You could relatively easily 3d print an embossing block. Sandwich some thick paper between the blocks and pop it into a vice/clamp for a few seconds, and it should give you an instant relief image in the paper. It would be a cheap and easily tooled solution.
@Ciaraioch "Bottleneck was always finding a good reliable artist". No chief, the bottleneck was always being willing to *pay* a good, reliable artist and accept their time budget/schedule. Why do people find this part so hard to swallow?
Last of its kind in my collection. Hopefully @galwaybeer are releasing a new Fathoms soon. Its been about 5 or 6 years since I haven't had at least one squirrelled away in the house.
I say I've been had, but really it's my own fault. I normally deep dive into specs and reviews when buying tech, but I figured a small 1080p monitor that would have been cheap even a decade ago would have been standardised out at this stage.
If I'd actually read the damn spec...
Ordered a new monitor to finally have a 2-monitor setup again after my ultrawide left no room for a second screen. Picked up a neat little 15" in the sales that I could mount tidily on the side and it arrived today.
Its a smegging laptop monitor. I've been had
"Let's starts this up and see if I just wrote off a €50k robot"
"€100k"
"Huh?"
"That one is about €100k"
"Oh. Let's start this up and see if I just wrote off a €100k robot"
@nerdontherocks @JFennellAuthor I've only managed the part where the object disappears. The reappearance bit has been rough. I got back half a potato one time, but I had originally sent a tennis ball... so... caveat emptor?
Twitter was fun while it lasted. It was the final hold out of social media platforms I actually stuck with, largely because I could use it through a third party app that made the experience considerably better. Shame its all about to be overrun.
@ShaneMcAuliffe1@LostWolfling @KevAnathra @unaminhkavanagh Hang on, I need to run this through Google Translate.
"I'm sorry you're offended, but I consider myself to still be right regardless of how little information or experience I have"
Wow, Translate really does have a proper bullshit filter now.
@ShaneMcAuliffe1 @KevAnathra @unaminhkavanagh But you do have time to be third-hand offended online and offer uninvited comments on a topic you essentially admit to having no understanding of.
Sounds more like you have *too much* free time, honestly.
