@STRWBERRYHALO@soleildiddle They phrased it poorly in the Direct.
But, as I understand it, there’s a free update that adds Dive and underwater locations for the existing maps.
Two new maps and more new features are locked behind the paid update.
@SelinaDolly0048@realblaines They’ll have to market Pokopia’s DLC more.
Champions will be coming to mobile soon. And more Pokémon are bound to be added at some point this year.
Plus, there’s the TCG, Day Out / Night Out, animated projects, and all the mobile apps.
There’s enough for a small Presents.
@DaAlexstanator I’m guessing it was planned to be there, but Nintendo chose to cut it.
Either they cut it last week, which lead Dovetail to post the trailer, or they cut it BECAUSE Dovetail posted the trailer early.
@realblaines Even if they don’t this time, there’s always the closing ceremony of Worlds in a few months.
There’s no way Pokémon has no big announcements until February next year. That makes no sense.
@IncineroarBlaze Assuming TPC does a WW trailer on Pokémon Day and then goes on break until early summer like usual, that gives them a good window to get DLC Pt. 3 out before shifting gears back to WW.
Maybe I’ve missed it, but have they ever said her name in these trailers? Either “Kara” or “Supergirl.”
I’m curious if she’s fully accepted / adopted the “Supergirl” mantle yet.
Also how are they pronouncing her name? Is it gonna be “car-uh” or “care-uh”? (Hope it’s the former)
@Steamlazer He used in on “Supergirl,” too. Though that one was all CGI.
As for “Superman & Lois,” Steel was from an alternate universe in that show. His suit was made for the Lex of that world to fight an evil Superman. Lex stole and reprogrammed it.
@0fem_15 He didn’t need it.
Homelander didn’t have anyone on his level to fight. No superpowered enemies to warrant him actually mastering his powers.
He could easily brute force punch or laser any regular person. It made him dangerous enough as it is.
I will say, #TheBoys finale was absolutely right to handle Homelander’s defeat this way.
Homelander would make it his life’s mission to get new Compound V if left alive.
If he didn’t go out like that, the world would be doomed.
Eric Kripke explains why he chose to kill Homelander rather him be completely Powerless. #TheBoys
“Yeah, it was really important to us for Homelander to at least experience a little bit of time powerless,” said Kripke. “People have asked me, ‘Well, why don’t you send him out in the world powerless, wouldn’t that be the ultimate punishment?’ I’m like, it would, until he gets his hands on some more Compound V, and then you’re back to where you started.”
“So, he cannot walk out of that room alive, but we can spend time with him powerless to really reveal what everyone’s been saying all season, which is, ‘Take away those powers and you are nothing.’ And he’s so cowardly and blubbering and pathetic, as are most strong men when you remove their power and they’re and they’re faced with their imminent death, they rarely handle it bravely,”

@GraceRandolph I think story wise, I think the finale works for the most part. But I don’t think they executed that vision very well.
My big issue is that final battle didn’t feel grand enough for “scorched earth.”
They couldn’t do that and leave enemies around for Gen V and future spinoffs.
… they may have planned to be the ending many years ago because they want this story to continue.
They wanted to leave room for Gen V, The Boys: Mexico, and other potential sequels to still exist.
I may have more thoughts later, but I do think that was the wrong call.
(2/2)
I just finished #TheBoys finale.
Gut reaction: The ending wasn’t awful, but it felt… beneath this show.
It had a very network TV, low-budget, closed-off feel to it that I don’t expect from this series.
I will say, it’s very clear they changed what… (1/2)
It feels like the most off-brand thing GameFreak has ever done.
The peaceful coexistence of people and Pokémon is a key reason this world feels fantastical and full of wonder.
Stripping most of that away, while a neat idea, made the world feel bland and uninteresting.
The DLC didn’t ruin it. It’s an optional post-game add-on. That doesn’t ruin the base game.
Yes, Mega Dimension is flawed.
But if your core enjoyment of this franchise is collecting monsters, the new Megas, efficient Shiny hunting, and available Mythicals make it worth buying.
@PKMN_twt I wish Pokémon and Bakugan did a crossover. It would’ve been amazing.
Props to whoever customized that Abisomega to look like Rayquaza. They did a great job!
This is definitely a better trailer.
But I feel like all the marketing since that first trailer seems to be for damage control more so than building hype.
Maybe it’s because of spoilers, but these ads all don’t feel like they’re checking enough GL boxes.
