Today's the day! The 2025 Delta Mouth Literary Festival kicks off tonight at the LSU Ogden Honors College at 6 PM. But tomorrow afternoon, our panels will begin at 12 PM, so make sure to not miss those. See you later!

BIG NEWS! For the first time, Delta Mouth is welcoming a 10th author, and it's Deesha Philyaw! Author of The Secret Lives of Church Ladies, soon to be an HBO Max series, Deesha will join us in Baton Rouge this March. We can't wait!
And the lineup keeps growing! Our 9th author for Delta Mouth 2025 is Dr. Taylor Byas! 🎉 Taylor’s debut, I Done Clicked My Heels Three Times, has won numerous awards, and her next collection, Resting Bitch Face, is coming August 2025. We can’t wait to hear her amazing work!
We’re not done yet! Our 8th author on our lineup is Jami Nakamura Lin! 📖 Author of the award-winning The Night Parade, Jami’s work blends memoir and mythology, earning recognition from Boston Globe, New York Magazine, and more. We’re so excited to have her at Delta Mouth 2025!
We’re thrilled to welcome Alejandro Heredia to Delta Mouth 2025! A Bronx-born writer and LAMBDA Literary fellow, he’s received support from the Dominican Studies Institute and Black Mountain Institute. His debut novel, Loca, is on the way. Don’t miss him at this year’s festival!
Denne Michele Norris is coming to Delta Mouth 2025! 🎉 Editor-in-chief of Electric Literature, Denne also co-hosts Food 4 Thot, and her debut novel, When The Harvest Comes, arrives in April 2025. We can’t wait to welcome her to this year’s festival!
Minda Honey is joining Delta Mouth 2025! Her work has appeared in Harper’s Bazaar, The Washington Post, and more. Her debut memoir, The Heartbreak Years, is an intimate portrait of a Black woman navigating love, identity, and self-discovery. We’re so excited to welcome her to LA!
José Olivarez will make his way to Baton Rouge this March for Delta Mouth 2025! José is the acclaimed author of Promises of Gold and Citizen Illegal. His work speaks to identity, language, and belonging with power and heart. We’re thrilled to have him at this year’s festival!
Nicole Cooley is coming to Delta Mouth 2025! A New Orleans native and award-winning poet, Nicole’s latest collection, Mother Water Ash (LSU Press), continues her powerful exploration of place, memory, and resilience. We’re so excited to welcome her to this year’s festival!
noam keim is joining the 2025 Delta Mouth lineup!🎉 A trauma worker, medicine maker, and flâneur freak based in Philadelphia, noam’s writing explores antizionism, healing, queerness, colonialism, and reverence for the land. Don’t miss them at this year’s festival!
