I just minted this (and a small life update)

I’ve been heads down on massive improvements to https://t.co/LF0E5lbfMg (adding email login, credit card on-ramp, and Arbitrum support) and it’s amazing to come up for air and see some beautiful art being minted on Animechain.

You can’t write the history of Azuki without @kamogawayuka . Her art is a grail for all Azuki collectors. This piece celebrates a lot of that journey, in her stylized, dreamy vision. I think @collectrs is the type of thing that drew me to the blockchain.

Courbet said (paraphrasing) “beauty exists inherently in patterns of nature, and when the artist identifies it it belongs to art, or more specifically to the artist” in a sense NFTs are a verifiable way to own that beauty. No matter what naysayers might think.

The world of @Azuki is opening up to so many people (did you see those Anime expo videos?). In recent conversations with Z he mentioned how TCG players are increasingly curious about the NFTs that started it all. Collecting is a continuum that starts in appreciation for beauty, but for me it always flows towards collective appreciation of the world that created this art. Yes, collecting and community have the same “co-“ for a reason.

Beyond the semantics of this piece, what I’m building at collect.anime, and what the community is evolving into… I’ve been away and a little removed from the day to day of our forum. This has been good (for me) allowed me to reconnect with family and be present when I used to be looking for the latest chisme on X. It has allowed me to deepen my passion for music, and cooking. However I miss being closer to the pulse of the garden.

I know the real ones will welcome me back after some months of less active posting, I want to earn back the trust of those that might have interpreted less posting for less passion.
