If we use the £47.5m reported fee we paid (which is plus add ons), and then amortise by 2yrs using straight line amortisation then we arrive at a Net Book Value of £31.67m for the player.

But truth remains, since VDV joined in 2023. We always look better and more solid when him and Romero are partnered. And they have competent full backs either side.

Last season, with VDV and Romero in the league we gave up 1.15 xG per 90.

Basically identical so far this season.
