It was a Class Act Move last night at The North Jersey Sports Awards Show Honoring Dumont High School Class of 2021 Graduate Dominick Barlow on being named the North Jersey boys basketball player of the year in 2021. Unfortunately do to Covid the award show did not occur. Taking the time to honor Dominick with his award from when he was in high school meant a lot to him.

Dominick being Dominick when he came backstage he told me with a big smile that he was so excited to give it to his grandfather. An amazing story and the best is yet to come in his career in The NBA. @VarsityAces @BrandonGouldHS @gregmattura @PJ_Potter @NVRHS_NJ @BigNorthConBNC @bcarrnjsports1

Big News out of NV/Demarest. Zoe Wasserlauf has committed to The university of Pennsylvania, where she will continue her basketball career. Zoe was a key player on the programs historic run to capturing the Bergen County Championship in 2025. Congratulations to Northern Valley Boys Track and Field Athlete Brendan Alec on being selected First Team All North Jersey.

The crazy part is all 3 of his jumps in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump are the best jumps in North Jersey this Track and Field School Year but as a default, you can only be First Team All North Jersey in one event, which is even more mind-boggling.

He Captured his 2nd State Meet of Champion Gold Medal this School Year. He Struck Gold in The Triple Jump in The Indoor Season. Then He Struck Gold in The Long Jump in The Spring season. He set The School Record This School Year in both the triple jump and high jump with marks of 49‘2“ and 6‘8“. Throw in a long jump of 24‘5“.

He has already left his mark and legacy as one of the greatest track and field athletes to not only come out of Demarest high school but all of New Jersey. The crazy part is he is only a junior.

NV/Demarest’s Brendan Alef has been named First Team All State in The Long Jump. As the article states he had one of the best seasons in the history of track and field in New Jersey. He is only a junior. A remarkable “jump” this school year. In one school year, he captured 2 Gold Medals at the state meet of champions. He broke the school record in the high jump and the triple jump this school year as well. He will look to break the long jump Record his senior year and walk out of Demarest as one of the most decorated track and field athletes in New Jersey History.
