Brendan Captured The State Championship in The Triple Jump during The Indoor Track and Field Season this school year as well. The team finished with an overall record of 18-9 on the season and the programs most wins since the 2016–2017 season. A team loaded with underclassmen only gets better. As The 2025-2026 Athletic School Year has concluded I always say it’s nice to reflect. This School Year NV/Demarest Athletics Captured 19 Team Championships across a wide variety of Sports. This doesn’t happen often and brings The NV/Demarest Athletic Program to 102 Championship Banners Hung over The Course of 14 Varsity Programs that have been captured The Past 5 Years at The Divisional, County, State Sectional and State Group Level. We also saw 11 individual State Champions in their respective sports. Not to mention all the individual high-level accolades that have been captured in that time span as well.

An amazing accomplishment by our coaches and our student-athletes to carry on the tradition that was set before them. The current student-athletes also know that a commitment to excellence and to always compete with class is the philosophy of our athletic department. A philosophy that has been in place for Decades by my predecessors. NV/Demarest’s Brendan Alef does it again. This time He Captures Gold in The High Jump with a jump of 6-4 and in The Triple Jump with a jump of 48-3.25.

Brendan also placed 2nd in The Long Jump 24-5.5. He was only ONE inch behind A gold medal in the Long Jump as well. Brendan has already broken the school record this school year in both the high jump and the triple jump. He is getting closer and closer to breaking the School long jump Record.

The team finishes with an overall record of 19–9. A lot to be proud. It’s only The Programs 2nd year as a Varsity program.
