Last Wednesday, my team and I launched a food distribution initiative aimed at combating food insecurity in the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
The items, which include essential staples such as maize, sorghum and millet, benefited no fewer than 8,000 households across the district.
This is an ongoing initiative. I remain committed to supporting my community and improving the lives of my constituents.

When you see people trooping to your residence, it means you have something which they don't have. It could be knowledge, money or anything; most especially if you are willing to share it with them without stress and demand.
Today, I had the honor of attending the presentation of the International Food Policy Research Institute’s (IFPRI) Global Food Policy Report focused on "Improving Food Systems for Healthy Diets and Nutrition in Nigeria."
This timely report provides critical insights into Nigeria's current food security challenges and offers invaluable recommendations for enhancing food systems and nutritional outcomes.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, I am committed to advancing legislation that ensures the availability, affordability, and nutritional quality of food for all Nigerians.
I commend IFPRI for this important initiative and look forward to continued collaboration for a healthier Nigeria.

BREAKING: We Won’t Allow You Burn Down This Country, Military Warns Protesters
The Defence Headquarters has warned those mobilising for a nationwide protest that while it is their right to protest, it will not condone anarchy.
The Local Government Fiscal Accountability Bill 2024 (SB, 549) that I sponsored successfully passed its first reading at Wednesday's plenary session. This bill seeks to achieve transparency and accountability by requiring the monthly publication of allocations to Local Government Areas.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture Production Services and Rural Development, my goal is to motivate Local Government administrations to prioritize the development of rural areas. I am confident that this bill, after its second reading and subsequent passage, will effectively contribute to our nation’s growth and development.
