Time to cut some expenses. It's funny how I have to deal with the combined effects of inflation AND getting less money. Rent got higher this month too.
I'm sure the plot and characters are fine, otherwise it wouldn't have been so impactful, but dear god. After I see a group of space elves backflip past me at Mach 2, I shit myself and the Mass Effectโข technology wipes my ass.
They're bigger and richer than us, and produce fighter jets domestically, yet are not equipped for a real war at all. All that responsibility would fall on us. They'd maybe contribute 10% to the war effort at most.
I am seeing Poles calling Swedes murderous savages during the Deluge, and Swedes gloating in response. Witnessing this, I can't help but remember how I wanted an alliance with Sweden instead of NATO membership, but also knew that they'd be borderline useless should Russia invade.
In retrospect, that nostalgia culture around the era of Mario 3, Megaman 2 etc was incredibly lame wankery. Almost everything actually interesting was on the computers even then.

Never watched the Avatar series since I really don't care for its capeshit style elemental fuckery. The pitch it makes is inherently uninteresting to me. Any kind of energy/matter manipulation and blasting has this YA novel taste to it, the purest essence of hype moments & aura.
