This comp makes no sense in the context of the 21-22 DG/Lauri/Mobley Cavs being better than the any Bulls team since Thibs left. Assuming that team just implodes without the Mitchell trade isn’t based on anything.
Heard @tomhaberstroh reference “Gut Tax” teams pay when trading haul for stars and how it leads to asset depletion around new player.
Cavs trade for Mitchell but it cost them considerably.
But considering opportunity cost, what are the Cavs without the move in that time? The Bulls and praying for lotto luck.
It’s just a really tough league to ascend organically
Strange response. At an argument that’s been misrepresented. Dont think the guy happily and productively sharing hundreds of hours of screen time with Mina Kimes is anti-layman. A clumsy argument about how an athlete and a layman might respond to failure amid success got weird
"People compare us to 20 years ago, Games 1 and 2 so far are the highest-rated programs in May and June so far on television. And if something beats us, it will be another sports program. Back 20 years ago, we often didn't win the night when the Finals were on."

1-31. 400 mil to a sex pest. A campaign to move the team to an inconvenient suburb. And this team still has mostly full stadiums and deep fan engagement. Not sure a trade down is moving the needle beyond a couple days of complaining from content creators. Then rookie camp starts.
The Browns can’t trade down. They’re fighting a P.R. battle with the fanbase (hence the Flacco signing) as much as they’re building a roster. Trading down after a month of Travis Hunter hype and after the disasters of 2011 and 2016 would be devastating.
@jake_razan They bumped in ways that covered for the inevitable powders that someone has to take in a triple threat. Good to see 3 wrestlers understand what makes matches go, and absolutely go for it
@AkronJackson Good for the beat that the Browns have someone who can do the same thing, soberly and unemotionally. Probably gonna get more of that in the post season wrap since that quality football didn’t come through.
@jake_razan Really enjoy a lot of Mox in ring & the intensity & commitment but people pretend that man is not a bad idea machine and it regularly gets his programs into this space. The guy is so busted up about Vince and Brock that he won’t let anyone be his editor.
@AriWasserman@Rygi13 ND is in a singular situation where they can’t be a top 4 seed. It’s likely that a diff conf champion who loses to an avg MAC team is penalized by being ranked lower than 4 conf champ peers & plays an extra game instead of getting a bye. This is an ND problems. Not the playoff’s
@jake_razan Exactly. Everything makes sense in ways that his peers tend to overlook. Kinda want to see him on the other side just because there’s a chance Paul will have a cohesive 6+ month plan that he’ll execute really well and he’ll have good dance partners.
@BackupHangman A month of working with a talented dance partner who isn’t giving doesn’t sound like a reward. Is there a path that doesn’t include 4-5 patronizing tv segments of being yelled at about mic skills and called “boring?” The big match would be really good, of course.
@jake_razan@tapemachines Dawkins gets the moments btwn moves in a way that shows he gets it. Would love for him to have a run where he was taken seriously (without being pressed to *be* serious, if that makes sense.)
@BrianJNBA Not sure the team would emotionally and myopically assign such low value to a guy they spent so much time hyping over the last 3 years. Swap Keldon for Vassell and there’s conversation though. A bench wing isn’t gonna sell locally.
