“This budget invests in the people of North Carolina. It delivers historic raises, keeps taxes low, strengthens public safety, and protects taxpayer dollars by making targeted investments to crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse. Every dollar reflects our commitment to build a North Carolina that is a better and more affordable place to live, work, and raise a family." -- @ncspeakerhall https://t.co/H7wqtiCDMj #ncpol #ncga
Taxpayer-funded DEI is DONE in NC.
The House just overrode three of @NC_Governor’s vetoes to stop divisive and discriminatory DEI programs in our state government and public schools.
More big wins for fairness and common sense.
The NC House has just passed the SB 280 the Dominique Moody Act.
This bill puts child safety first by greatly strengthening the oversight of high-risk abuse and neglect cases to ensure vulnerable children don't fall through the cracks. #ncpol
We need to do better for the most vulnerable among us- our children. Especially those in the foster care system. Thank you @gachesser and @CunninghamNCRep !
Today, the House passed the Dominique Moody Act, strengthening accountability and allowing earlier intervention when child abuse is reported.
A 6-year-old child weighing just 27 lbs and in a dog crate is a tragedy that should never have happened. We must do everything in our power to ensure this never happens again.
Dominique Moody is dead because Mecklenburg County DSS failed to act on no less than four occasions. When action was needed to save her life, they did NOTHING!
We cannot call ourselves leaders or expect the trust of the people if we fail to act to protect the most vulnerable children in our state. Anything less than continued vigilance in ensuring the safety and well-being of our children is failure. #ncpol #ncga
Despite Dominique Moody being found dead weighing just 27 pounds, with cuts across her body and covered in feces, Mecklenburg County’s DSS Director still claimed the department “did a good job” on the case.
This is unacceptable. #ncpol
DISGUSTING.
Dem Rep. Ager just referred to the horrific murder of six-year-old Dominique Moody as an “accident.”
Dominique was subjected to months of abuse, was found in a dog crate, and weighed 27 pounds.
Calling that an “accident” isn't a mistake. It's a disgrace.
.@mikefor35: “It is not a common experience to find a dead six-year-old child in a dog crate in a home. There is a lot that fell through the cracks here; this passed through a lot of people’s hands, and a lot of people need to accept responsibility for this.”
Dominique Moody deserves justice.
NC Dems haven't learned a thing.
Every session, they oppose common-sense legislation in favor of pandering to their progressive puppet masters.
The House GOP is delivering results for NC by fighting for safer communities, stronger schools, and putting more money back in the pockets of hard-working families.
The contrast couldn't be clearer.
Fact-Check: During a House floor debate, the chamber’s top Democrat falsely suggested a news report about the state’s insurance commissioner was the impetus for a constitutional amendment changing the Council of State vacancy process. #ncpol

Did you know Wake County is one of the worst offenders of unjustifiable property tax hikes?
And now here’s Cary filming some LAME doc highlighting their dance moves.
How about they save that for TikTok instead of wasting taxpayer dollars. 🤔
