its never a good sign when we expect or start relying exclusively on the promising starlet (Nwaneri) or a set-piece hit to overcome an ineffective performance. A tactics shift is needed, maybe since the absence of Odegaard in MF, to get the best out of the available players #AFC

hope Sterling on loan is the transition between Nelson outgoing and a true class winger coming in the next windows.

Already eager to see how Mikel sets up the team next season. Guess Raya, Saliba and Gabriel are guaranteed starters; not so sure about FBs. Also, Rice as 6 or 8? who joins him and Odegaard in MF? Havertz stays as first choice centre FW?

switch to a 4231, pair Zinchenko with Rice in the MF pivot, and bring a LB who can tuck in and bring cover in build-up. 3313 in attack with Alex as primary playmaker from deep, with Rice and the LB shielding and giving dynamism. This could also free Odegaard to play as a pure 10

I would really love to see Zinchenko as Xhaka's heir, in that LCM position, forming the pivot with Rice. I would even give him the captaincy until Ødegaard returns
