@dogru2025 @Ragepkj Very different mindset in NL. Broken ventilation is a reason for us to quickly get it out of service and repairing it ASAP. Broken AC/heater in hot/cold weather also the same.
Until now all the transit (IC and local train/metro/tram/bus) I have used in the heat had great AC.
@ChrisJacksonSC It is one of the UN INSARAG Heavy USAR teams that get deployed globally in case of disasters. They all should have similar capabilities. So quite some of these teams have a similar amount of experience and state of service.

@superalbs@NS_online This is what I dealt with on a daily basis when I worked in operations coordination for the NS. It was always my priority every train runs, which might mean I need to use different types of train or reduce the capacity.
@superalbs@NS_online Not happy when it happens either. But sometimes it has to happen. A train is better than no train. This means InterCity trains in Sprinter service happens as well. Whatever goes.
@StatisticUrban The Netherlands doesn't have 2023 data yet and uses a different methodology and is thus not part of the dataset. So how is it in this map?
@StatisticUrban @MechanicalDao @physicstwink The Netherlands is not included due to a different methodology:
"Statistics Netherlands applies a somewhat different methodology than Eurostat, using exhaustive register information on individual persons to calculate the average full-time adjusted salaries."
@DanielKral1 Interesting to see that the Dutch economy has been doing quite well since 2019 even as a country that relied heavily on gas and trade with Germany (also Brexit came along in that timeframe). Industry isn't doing great either, but GDP is growing just fine.
@mmeijeri@kaikowsky@Leopard24theWin Pharos is mainly there to guide the DART shells from the 76mm cannon. So that it can only guide guns up to 30mm won't stay that way. Still unclear if it will be used to guide the shells from the 40mm cannon.
@JackTattTran Of course not too much, as you don't want to make a slow service, but longer turn around times also ensures operators can get a reasonable break even when delayed. And longer stop times at major stations can help with transfers, so they have benefits as well.
@JackTattTran Interesting. We don't really do headway management here, but haven't really seen severe bunching problems here on the frequent routes. Maybe more timetable padding and longer turnaround times will help as well, or they have that already?
