EIS members at Lenzie Academy in East Dunbartonshire are urged to vote YES to strike action over serious health and safety concerns in their school.

Concerns raised by members over many years include:
•     Major roof leaks and water ingress
•     Water near electrics
•     Asbestos-related risks
•     Mould and damp
•     Heating failures (rooms too cold / too hot)
•     Broken fire doors
•     A non-working secure entry system
•     Damaged flooring causing trip hazards
•     General disrepair

A mandate for industrial action will allow EIS members to hold East Dunbartonshire Council to account and ensure repairs are carried out in a timely fashion.
