FWIW
Black rep in Ivy Leagues:
•Harvard 6.6%
•Yale 6.5%
•Brown 7.0%
•Princeton 4.7%
•Columbia 5.1%
•Cornell 5.0%
White rep in HBCUs:
•11.4%
Despite AA, Ivy Leagues are worse at accepting Black students than HBCUs are at accepting white students—and now even AA is gone😐
“Move fast & break things.”
Well, Stockton did.
He saw safety precautions as attacks on “innovation”; what libertarians have been saying about regulations for years.
Safety matters.
Which is why we have regulations.
So people don’t die this way.

Congress is currently investigating….
*Adam Schiff for investigating Trump
*Hunter Biden for a late $200k tax payment & a gun offense that almost never charged for which he’s plead guilty
*Joe Biden for being a criminal mastermind
Wanna know what they’re not investigating?
*Why the Trump administration facilitated the sale of American oil refineries to the Saudis including the largest in the US (Port Arthur, TX)
*Why the Trump administration buried intelligence linking the Saudi Crown Prince to the murder of Jamal Khassoggi
*Why after the bullet points above the Saudis paid $2 Billion to the Trump’s
*How has Marjorie Taylor Greene’s net worth gone from <$2 million to over $40 million in less than 2 years with an annual salary of $174k & Taylor Construction reporting annual revenues of $5 - $6 million
*How did Ivanka Trump get more China copyrights & patents than any non-Chinese citizen during her time in the White House?
These are all well known serious issues with an abundance of proof. I agree that Biden should be investigated if there’s evidence that leads to suspicion. However, there is a dump truck of evidence on the items above & no one is investigating anything!

It would be hilarious that anyone thinks the Repubs feel "cornered" or anything else about the Santos vote. But it's sad how naive you look if you think they care how it looks voting to keep him. If you think Republicans care for anything but power and ruling, you need to wake up
BREAKING: Federalist Society leader Leonard Leo paid Ginni Thomas OFF THE BOOKS -- $80,000, with at least one $25,000 payment being routed through Kellyanne Conway.
Leo specifically said that the payment shouldn't mention Ginni Thomas.
Investigate and subpoena ALL OF THEM.
If you want to unfollow me due to my beliefs, then go ahead.
My name is Joshua Martin and I’m a 20 year old college student from Houston who’s pro-democracy, pro-voting rights, and pro-gun reform.
I’m dedicating my life and this page to ensure my generation has a seat at the table when it comes to decision making.
That’s me, take it or leave it.
A life long friend from Scotland had planned to take his wife and 3 grand children on a 3 week US vacation: NYC for the adults and LA with a stop at Disney Land [Anaheim] for the kids. He just texted me that his wife insisted on canceling the trip: her reason in quotes
@hopefield3@gracietreacle@DemocracyMonica@JujuliaGrace Private insurance in the Netherlands is nonprofit and highly regulated. If it doesn’t generate profits for private companies, UK “reformers” aren’t interested.
Read the room. Understand the history.
1 of these is true. Either
Powell hasn't read reports that nearly HALF of inflation is due to CORPORATE PROFITS. Raising int rates won't help.
OR
Powell knows this but is using inflation as an excuse to weaken workers' leverage & STOP WAGE INCREASES.
Wanna guess which?
The Fed's extreme interest rate hikes risk triggering a recession, destroying jobs and crushing small businesses.
@RepBrendanBoyle, @RepJayapal and I are calling on Chair Powell to halt rate hikes before it's too late.

Very cool for Jay Powell to hike us into a recession to just in time to give the Man Who Literally Tried to End the American Democratic Experiment a shot of getting back in office.
Brigitte Gabriel, in my opinion, appears to be propagating stolen valor in order to try and brainwash people into respecting Trump.
The Truth:
- Trump never served in the military. He got out of the draft and likely avoided Vietnam by claiming to have bone spurs.
- Trump didn't want to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, instead allegedly saying to senior staff members: “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”
- Trump once referred to 1,800 U.S. Marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers," according to staffers.
- Trump questioned whether former US Senator and POW John McCain was really a hero since he was captured. He then said that McCain was "not a war hero" because he liked "people who weren't captured."
I get it. People love Trump and they want to view him in ways in which they envision him.
In my opinion though, a more appropriate photo would be one of Trump laying on a bed with a band-aid on his foot, but I'd love to know your opinions on Gabriel's apparent Trump war fetish.
UK - for the sake of your country & people, DO NOT model your healthcare system after the US. If we're doing it, do the opposite. 60k people die every yr here bc they can't afford their care.
Healthcare should NOT be a for-profit system. That's what the lobbyists are selling you
If you’re wondering why we’re fighting so hard against NHS privatisation, take a look at this from 2019. In the US, 530,000 families go bankrupt each year due to issues related to medical problems and the associated costs🚨
https://t.co/TDUqSGEhtb
@hopefield3@_jongarf@gracietreacle@JujuliaGrace The private funding IS the problem. Take out from an American. DO NOT model you healthcare system on one where 60,000 people DIE each year because they don't have health care. Do you WANT to learn about medical bankruptcy? About co-pays, spending limits, out of pocket expenses?
NEW! According to whistleblower documents provided by whistleblower Kendal B. Price, the wife of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts made $10.3 million in commissions from large law firms, per Business Insider.
Here are some of the details of the allegations:
- Jane Roberts, after her husband was confirmed as the chief justice of the SCOTUS in 2005, changed her career description form lawyer to “legal recruiter" to avoid concerns of conflicts of interest.
- Between 2007 and 2014 Jane Roberts brought in $10.3 million in commissions from corporations and legal firm. Her job was to act as a matchmaker connecting high-price lawyers with large corporations.
- At least 1 of the law firms tried a case before Jane’s husband John Roberts in the SCOTUS.
- The whistleblower, Kendal Price, worked with Jane Roberts at the recruiting firm and says that she was soliciting business from law firms while her husband was Chief Justice.
To me, this doesn’t come nearly as close to the allegations against Justice Clarence Thomas, but it definitely seems to have been a conflict of interest.
What are your thoughts? How severe are these allegations? What should be done?
In the state of Iowa, Republicans rolled back child labor laws to allow 14 year olds to WORK in meatpacking plants.
In West Virginia, more than a dozen of them voted against BANNING child marriage.
And in Missouri, they refused to pass a law BARRING children from openly carrying firearms in public.
So when Republicans say that they’re the ones who are “protecting our kids”… they’re full of shit.
So glad Ana mentioned what other media won't: we SUBSIDIZE the fossil fuel companies with our money. Why don't we take those subsides to support renewable options? Because the fossil fuel industry has paid politicians not to.
