I was pointing out what we had in common.
Before the election I probably wouldn't have said that, because I think the old GOP wanted to be budget-hawks.
Now that they have full control, they aren't 'conservative' by any definition of the word.

Log Cabin Republicans hoped to gain acceptance within the GOP platform. It never happened.

The New GOP seems to be rallied around hate and little else now. Some supporters may harken the days of Reagan, but he (& his VP) wouldn't recognize this party.

@susin_bailey I don't work for a political consulting firm or media group. It was absurd. Like picking on a guy because he liked watching American Pickers.

Years later the company fired my former boss. Apparently I wasn't the only 'problem employee' she had and they somehow figured it out.

@susin_bailey I've had a boss ride me into the HR office on a personal vendetta. I refused to support the repeal of Obamacare at a team lunch and she got wildly angry about it. (Her alleged performance complaints were disproven.)

@susin_bailey Some companies are liberal and some are conservative, and some wish to remain neutral. I actually prefer neutral.

A boss that seeks to escalate fear and alienate others within a team are the worst, and they are normally hard-line Republicans.
