DTF joined FIDA Kenya's validation workshop on the Early Warning Framework (EWF) for Digital Violence Against Women ahead of the 2027 General Election. The engagement strengthens action against technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV)

Today, FIDA-Kenya organized a multi-stakeholder validation workshop to review and finalize the Early Warning Framework (EWF) for Digital Violence Against Women (DVAW) ahead of Kenya's 2027 General Elections. The workshop brought together representatives from government institutions, electoral stakeholders, civil society organizations, technology actors, development partners, and women's rights organizations to strengthen coordinated action against technology-facilitated violence targeting women in political and electoral processes.
Through the discussions and technical review sessions, participants validated the framework, provided valuable recommendations, and reached consensus on coordinated prevention, reporting, referral, and response mechanisms. The meeting also strengthened institutional ownership of a shared commitment to safeguarding women's political participation in the digital space. FIDA-Kenya Board Member, @Mudaye2 opened the meeting.
