Now i’m not going to write some civnat slop on how this flag unites us all and how we all need to come together. That’s false.

The Australian flag represents Australians. White Australians.
Our flag wasn’t created to unite all the foreign peoples. It was created for us, and only us.

The Union Jack on Australia's flag is a colonial symbol that reflects British sovereignty rather than the country's status as an independent nation with its own constitution, parliament and identity. Removing it would allow a design that better represents Australia’s distinct place in the world instead of remaining visually subordinate to the United Kingdom. Many other former British colonies have already adopted flags without the Union Jack for the same reason.
