Evan’s point here is even more important than people realize.

They shouldn’t legally wear “police” patches at all.

Because ICE are by definition *NOT* police.

They do NOT have policing powers.

They are immigration officers, and federal agents.

Their powers under Title 8, Section 1357 are LIMITED.

They do not have the right to compel you out of a car without first ordering you under arrest for a crime they’ve witnessed.

They do not have a right to detain you as a US citizen without first arresting you for a federal crime they witnessed or having reasonable suspicion of an immigration related crime.

They are NOT police.

It is misleading to the public, and quite frankly police impersonation.
