Ozzy influenced my outlook on life in so many ways it's hard to put it into words. I'm so thankful for his talent and how he indelibly shaped the landscape of heavy music. RIP prince of darkness. π€
@HarleyMonster@ChurchofSatan Well we really don't need to guess at what the founders *might* have been thinking. We have the words of people like Thomas Jefferson that were very clear about what they thought the protections for freedom of religion should be.
@HarleyMonster@ChurchofSatan "They didnβt want the government to push a particular faith/religion"
Yes, exactly. Whether they were Presbyterian, atheist, theist, etc. is not important to me. What's important to me is liberty, and that's something that they also believed was the most important principle.
@HarleyMonster@ChurchofSatan That's irrelevant to my point. I'm not assuming anything, I'm going by what the founders wrote and the beliefs they espoused. They believed that religion was personal to the individual, not something that should be codified in the bill of rights or controlled by the authorities.
@HarleyMonster@ChurchofSatan Well by using the word "religion" they clearly established that they weren't *only* talking about Christianity. They knew that many other religions existed and they also knew that excluding people for not practicing a specific religion would be detrimental to a free society.
@HarleyMonster@ChurchofSatan I mean that's all well and good, but they still had the thought to protect freedom of religion. They clearly did not believe that Christianity's benefits were more important than allowing people to practice religion (or not practice it) as they see fit.
@TheBritishGeek2@Tracerhead@ClaireMax Video games have not been "niche" for well over 20 years. The video game industry brings in more revenue than music and movies combined. There are literally hundreds of video games released every month. Your argument is nonsense at this point in time.
@BillWiIdin Labor has been continuously devalued since the 1950s. As someone who started working professionally in 2010, I've only seen this trend accelerate. Making a decent living is not guaranteed through hard work and "paying your dues." That is a fantasy perpetuated by corporations.
@MarsCanals@ClaireMax The point is, he wasn't doing reps. He was barely going a quarter to halfway. Doing 15 full reps of 135 is significantly more difficult than what he was doing. I would bet my life savings that he cannot get 315 up.
@eusouoodio@ChurchofSatan What is your point? If someone wants to call themselves a Satanist and a Zionist, no one can stop them. Just like someone can call themselves a Christian and be a pedophile. It's impossible to control how other human beings think/act, that's the point CoS is making.
