@AspirinJuice425 I play a lot of Tales and this is like if you gained the ability to fly across the overworld to revisit old areas easily at the start instead of near the end which disincentivises exploration and engaging with the game's very deliberate design

@AspirinJuice425 I kinda agree. I think they should have been made a game clear reward. Their very cool but they kinda highlight how xc1's area design hasn't aged very well if they were deemed a necessary inclusion

i've seen a big problem where a villain/antagonistic character is revealed to have a sad/sympathetic backstory and the fandom immediately assumes the backstory presentation is trying to *justify* the villain's actions and ends up getting angry over it

@YearOldOnTwit I feel like everyone's forgotten how good June 2024 was. New Mario and Luigi, Mario Party, 2D Zelda, and Prime 4 gameplay when the switch was at the end of its lifespan was absolutely insane to witness

Is there a particular reason why direct reactions are so extreme? Even ignoring my biases I thought that was a really good showing for tonnes of games so I was surprised to see how negative people are on it.

@AspirinJuice425 To me the Genesis subtitle instead of Chronicles implies its the start of a new saga/continuity so their going back to a more xc1 style of fantasy. But cmon theres definitely going to be some sci-fi at some point we all know it

@AspirinJuice425 100% agreed, easily the best thing about the show is how everyone feels fully developed and realistic. I feel like it does a good job making you understand who they are as people and what their going through and how they think about eachother. Sorry I love this show a lot

@AspirinJuice425 Having seen the finale I think you'll really like the direction they go with his character, he definitely earns having the amount of screen time that he has

I do agree with the critique that there should have been more episodes but I don't think it needed much, maybe like 1 or 2
