@dantroha@draftsim Congratulations Dan! Didn't know you sold the company, but you did an amazing job with it and very happy for you. What's next for you?
I'm happy to share our recent publication on the safety and efficacy of PTE surgery for patients with chronic thromboembolic disease but no pulmonary hypertension at rest. Less complications than CTEPH, no deaths and immediate improvement in PA compliance!

Wishing a joyful retirement to the truly remarkable Dr. Kim Kerr, Vice Chief of @ucsdpccm. Your decades of dedication have had a profound impact on our patients, students, and the field of pulmonology. Thank you for everything! Your legacy at UCSD Health will certainly live on.
Incredible moments at #ATS2025 Plenary! 🎉 Huge congratulations to Dr. Jess Mandel for the Outstanding Educator Award and Dr. Mark Hepokoski for a well-deserved Presidential Commendation. Your dedication to respiratory health inspires us all! #PulmCrit#MedEd

@FSotoMD One additional tip: can also, very slowly, partially deflate the balloon if not in appropriate wedge position (rather than inflating). The smaller balloon volume/size can be propelled by flow a little more distally and yield a proper wedge tracing.
TAPSE/PASP works in #CTEPH too! 🔔 RV-PA coupling improvement after #BPA can be monitored and trended via TAPSE/PASP @ucsdpccm@UCSDCardiology

Post-PE dyspnea is common but invasive CPET can identify if chronic clot is cause of dyspnea leading to #CTEPD with exercise PH, elevated dead space, and/or small stroke volume augmentation #PERT@DrTimFernandes@ucsdpccm@PERTConsortium
Dr. Michael Madani reminding us all that #PTE surgery is still the best treatment for operable #CTEPH. At @UCSDHealth, we’ve now done >5000 PTEs with <2% mortality! #PERT@ucsdpccm@PERTConsortium
