@HonoluluBlues_ I think the Lions are an 11-12 win team still and definitely CAN win the Super Bowl. They’re going to need to make some adjustments on defense to get there, and probably bring in some help at the trade deadline, but it’s doable.

@DetroitOnLion Think Blake will be fine. Bailey’s pass rush grade isn’t great, and this set was against Anthony Belton, who just earned a 33 PFF Pass Blocking grade… Borom had a 35 for reference lol.

I think you’re right, but it’s not necessarily the blitz that’s hurting them, it’s the scheme behind the blitz. I’ve seen a handful of times where the Lions bring 6 or 7 guys and there’s a CB with 8 yards of cushion at the line, or a MIKE/SAM sprinting to cover the weak side flats on a corner blitz.

But I do agree, they need to reign it back until they get it figured out.

You were using PFF like it tells the entire story, so why not hold all players to that standard? Ya-Sin had a 65 coverage grade last year which is average, and he’s got a 42 this year. His grade is higher than Jacks and has had less of a falloff.

You’re so close to connecting the dots though, I’m so close to being proud of you… why do you think Jack’s PFF is so incredibly shitty all of a sudden? It’s almost like there’s an underlying issue… like maybe the coaching and scheme hasn’t been great?

Anyway, we obviously don’t agree so we’ll just have to see how it plays out. I’d say to enjoy the season, but I’m not sure why you bother watching lol.

Yeah, you’re probably right. We should trade Jack Campbell and his 37.7 PFF grade too, the guy is clearly hot trash. His 1st team all pro last year was clearly a fluke.

I get it man, it’s easy to be a doomer. It’s a safe way to make sure your little feelings don’t get hurt. If the team ends up being bad you can say you were right, and if they’re good you can say you’re happy to be wrong. Enjoy that 👍
