We made it back to Meri's estate, and stayed for a rest.
Locker insists we take items back to Esmor and sell them as holy items.
I was resistant, but Meri found it amusing and offered to say words over random items so we could sell them as moon blessed items.
I can't win.
Borog rushed in to grab the child, but the Children of Grimbaldi attacked.
Poor Malcolm was walloped pretty hard. He backed up to begin casting spells so he wouldn't be in melee range.
After a tough battle, we felled the spawn, and rescued the child.
After exploring for a while, we found a ceremonial room where burial rituals are typically held. In the center of the room, was an altar with the child laying on it.
A long the back of the room was the three Spawn we were looking for.
We set out to the catacombs, and arrived with little incident.
In the catacombs, we found that there were several giant bats residing there.
We slayed 4 of them, and left three more alone in the room where we found them sleeping.
When we arrived, Meri informed us that a child had been kidnapped, and was believed to be kidnapped by a group of Vampire Spawn calling themselves The Children of Grimbaldi.
They had taken the child into the burial catacombs to sacrifice in order to awaken the sleeping vampire.
During the nights rest on the way to Remnant, I was awakened by Meri calling out to me.
She requested I bring my comrades to the Moon.
Myself, Locker, Borog, Malcolm, and Joran went.
When we got back to the tavern, Borog demanded the arm be cooked. Rasputin rightfully refused.
The man from before, called Jorun, offered to cook the arm for him.
After a little shopping and an incident with a parasite in Borog's genitalia, we decided to head toward Remnant.
Borog took it's arm, carrying it back to Boar's Tusk. After a moment, Marcus emerged from the thick of the woods. He'd been tracking the giant we just killed.
He recognized the bite on Borog's arm and suggested we see about it before it got out of hand.
Borog was unconcerned.
There was a fella already having breakfast. He conversed with us briefly.
Borog was disappointed there was only bacon for breakfast, and left to hunt. We decided to follow him.
He came across a hill giant and attacked it without second thought.
We felled the creature.
We went down to breakfast, met Rasputin, the owner of The Boar's Tusk. He was apparently the owner of each commercial establishment in town, as be manned every shop I entered.
Borog has began to exhibit symptoms from the bite he suffered from the half formed werewolves.
We decided to rest at the inn attached to the tavern for the evening, since we are much further north than we wanted to be.
Not too far from my home town, Remnant.
I woke up to a note from Gorn stating he missed the wild and was leaving, giving his cat to Storm.
His name was Bildrip. He and Locker spoke briefly before she somehow rigged his armor to fall from his body.
Poor guy was quite embarrassed.
After most of the party has a hearty chuckle, we made our way to the closest tavern to sort out what to do next. Mayor is still missing.
There was a scramble in the village, I assume because they were trying to find the missing woman.
Her husband was summoned and he openly mourned for her. I knelt beside him and prayed for their peace.
A local adventurer came to investigate the commotion.
Soon after we felled the man-beast, two large wolves emerged.
We fought them off and they turned into humans in their deceased state.
Werewolves.
Our new friend discovered a fresh corpse. We collected her and brought her to the nearest village.
We pressed into the cave and found a man injured, to the point of losing consciousness. I healed him enough for him to wake, and Locker, Gorn, and our new friend interrogated him.
It became clear he was hiding something, and his form began to shift. We struck him down quickly.
We decided to stay and rest.
During the night, I heard howling and screams of a woman. I immediately woke Locker to inform her I was going to investigate.
The rest of the party woke and followed. We tracked blood and clothing to a cave mouth.
Malcolm and I caught up with the party back in Esmor just outside of a hut. It was late.
We saw a campsite, and went over to investigate. There was a man making stew that Locker decided to help herself to.
The man kindly offered it to all of us. Everyone but Borog ate.
Storm decided to sacrifice the dog, and the spirits were appeased.
And next thing I knew, I found myself back on the Moon with Meri, only this time, Malcolm was with me.
We spent time there with my people to help with a few disputes, borders, taxes, and the like.
In the basement, we encountered a horde of goblins. We made quick work of them and pressed deeper into the basement.
We found a room that appeared to have a sacrificial alter.
The room went on lockdown, spirits demanding bloodshed for our freedom.
