@cityoflondon Used to be a regular, although I now only get the chance to swim occasionally since moving out of London, but it's good to hear that such an important community space will continue to be inclusive & welcoming.
@PerthshireMags (I mean, there are lots of arseholes in every generation, but with this particular phenomenon of 'my children won't let me see the grandkids', I think we know what's going on).
@PerthshireMags I'm assuming, given the audience of this publication, there's not likely to be much acknowledgement that the blame (mostly) lies with the parent.
@jakeesebbens@facetedcarapace I'd probably use the term credit, rather than loans, but it's the same principle. They just don't pay for things with cash (if at all).
@facetedcarapace There's a whole thing about how royals never carry cash (possibly partly cos it's weird when it has your face on the notes), but nobody ever pretended it was because they are kinda poor.
We investigated to see who in Britain is terrifyingly racist, and, wow! It turns out it’s the NHS, students and academics, trades unions, teachers, Palestinian solidarity and the left as a broad bloc. What’s that? Oh yes, it turns out the Mail and the Sun were 100% correct.
aside from the sheer gratuitousness of the Sarah Everard case, which for all the (justified) outrage has led to zero meaningful change, we've had *11 years* of the spycops inquiry, whose main throughline is "undercover cops both genuinely hate the left and love abusing women"
