I made a game with AI assistants, from code to art 🪶
Feather Storm: a family co-op arcade brawler. A farmer, a fox, a grandma and a cat vs. a chicken uprising. Every bird bursts into feathers.

Now I get the 'vibe coding is a drug' thing.
It's not the speed. It's that each result hands you the next idea, so there's no natural place to stop. Normal code has walls — errors, waiting. This one just keeps going. 😵💫

Stuck on something: getting AI to draw a 2D character as separate parts — torso, arms, legs — so they actually fit together. Each piece looks fine alone. Combined, the scale drifts, joints don't meet, style shifts between parts.
Anyone solved this? #AIgamedev#gamedev
Something I can't quite explain: AI can take in a huge amount of information at once, yet loses track of details in a long plan. I recall them exactly when they matter. Opus 5 doesn't. Feels like it's saving context, not tracking the plan.

@authority_joel Nothing yet except my own test (Codex → ~/Downloads → "Operation not permitted"). The real change was in the workflow: every file the agents need now has to live inside the project. That makes the setup cleaner anyway.
Two AI assistants work in my repo: Claude Code and Codex.
Today I fenced them in: no access to Desktop, Documents, Downloads or iCloud. Codex via a macOS sandbox profile, Claude via deny rules.
AI helpers are great. Unlimited disk access isn't.

Before → after: THE FARM, the first level of Feather Storm, repainted layer by layer with ChatGPT and Claude Code. Even the clouds drift now.
Coming in the next update. The current one is free in your browser:

Working with AI gets addictive. I can build a service in a couple of hours, and that still feels amazing.
But after a long session I notice my brain is still doing plenty of analytical work. Faster, yes. Effortless, no.

AI agents keep impressing me. The quality of what they produce now is really high.
But a good product and a gem are not the same thing. Getting from one to the other still seems to need a person who cares about the details.

@WeatherFell Yes sir! Feather Storm: Fowl Uprising, a co-op arcade brawler where a farmer, a fox, a grandma and a cat fight off mutant chickens 🐔 Free in the browser, made with AI helpers just for fun: https://t.co/60LnHUhSKy
@TheMG3D For me the story is the main thing that makes a good game enjoyable. The catch is that if you make the game yourself, you can never enjoy it that way, because nothing in it can surprise you.
