Thank you for your endorsement, Kristine! As we head to the polls tomorrow, we need to think about how many people in Ontario live below the poverty line and the systems we currently have that keep putting more and more people below that line.
Longtime Newmarket resident and anti-poverty advocate Kristine Carbis endorses NDP Denis Heng for Newmarket-Aurora riding. “Denis is a hardworking local candidate who will advocate for affordability and who is in it for the long haul.”
Hanging out at the Farmers Market with a couple student volunteers who have faced so many challenges in the last couple of years and will only face more if we let Doug Ford continue to make cuts. We are committed to fixing education by reversing the cuts and respecting teachers.
This past week I was honoured to be invited to the @APLtweets Meet the Candidates event. While some parties decided that it wasn't worth their time, I thank my fellow candidates who did take the time to share their thoughts on the important issues. https://t.co/IjE3jUcOkm
As nursing week comes to an end, I want to take the time to thank the nurses who are tirelessly committed to their profession. The COVID pandemic has brought pressures that have never before been seen in this lifetime. Where would we be without you?

A bigger space will not put an end to "hallway healthcare;" only it behind a curtain. The @OntarioNDP is committed to raising hospital funding to exceed health sector inflation, population growth, expanded operating plans, and unique local needs such as aging populations. 4/4
Stronger partnerships with community based organizations need to be forged to support patients when they leave the hospital, so they don't need to keep coming back because there is nowhere else to turn. 3/4
What I kept hearing across the different departments is that while a new, larger space is much needed, that only addresses part of the problem with healthcare today. Staffing levels need to increase as more patients come through the doors. 2/4
This week I had the honour of touring @SouthlakeRHC and got to hear how things are going from frontline workers. The COVID pandemic has taken a toll on the physical and mental health of everyone, including the front line staff we turn to when we are vulnerable. 1/4
Hot off the press - my signs are in! My campaign team is already busy getting them out to everyone who has asked for one. If you haven't already, request a sign to show your support for a better government. https://t.co/QaSxByGhod
NEW: Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce was a participant in a ‘slave auction’ during his time as a frat house leader.
Educators who work with racialized communities call it “disgusting” and say Lecce should be held accountable.

Uh oh — seems like Lisa McLeod isn’t the only PC the NDP has discovered grabbing the cash
Looks like Missisauga MPP Kaleed Rasheed took $23,000 from the till
These people break Ontarians’ trust and it needs to be fixed
