🚨🇧🇬 BULGARIA ERUPTS IN MASS PROTESTS OVER CORRUPTION AND NEW BUDGET

Tens of thousands of Bulgarians poured into the streets Wednesday night, furious over what they call a corrupt and broken government.

Demonstrators filled Sofia’s city center, chanting “Resign” and waving signs reading “I’m fed up” as anger over a controversial 2026 draft budget exploded into a nationwide anti-graft movement.

The protests began after lawmakers tried to fast track the new budget, which critics say hides corruption behind technical reforms.

Protesters accuse officials of stealing public funds and protecting political elites while ordinary citizens struggle with rising prices.

The government withdrew its first proposal after the backlash but pushed out a revised version this week, reigniting outrage.

President Rumen Radev has sided with the protesters, calling for early elections and demanding transparency as Bulgaria prepares to join the eurozone in January.

For a country long ranked among the EU’s most corrupt, Bulgaria’s streets have become a boiling point.

The message from protesters is clear- Enough.
