Frank Gashumba has responded to pastors criticising him over his remarks on alleged fake miracles.
“There’s nothing as bad as a whole generation being misled over super natural miracles.”
@MwesigyeFranks@kasujja As long as the facility was not in default at the time of his demise, life insurance cover must be claimed and used to clear the outstanding facility.
Looking at that UPDF Amendment Bill took me back to Gen. Museveni’s speech to lawyers in 1987. He aptly stated that "Law can be an instrument of oppression and exploitation or an instrument of social justice," and that "Law is not always synonymous with justice". Sadly, he now ranks top amongst rulers who have [ab]used the law for the same purposes he condemned in this speech. You can hardly imagine that this is the same person who has used the law to clamp down on opponents and instil fear in the population. May God grant that we break this cycle once and for all!

@VaticanNews Given that he is able speak Spanish, Latin German and English. This will enable him to pass across his message clearly without any loss in meaning in the process of interpretation. We humbly pray for his holiness pope Leo XIV.
Bwana @Mukulaa, I hate to do this, but patriotism demands that I do my part in calling out all ideological dimwits and political pygmies out there like you my elder. By the way, you are the age of my late father. You have enjoyed positions of power and privilege in this Government and in the politburo of the ruling clique or ‘Party’ for almost three decades and counting. You therefore cannot be let off the hook for writing or speaking like a powerless, clueless and politically naïve Aloikin from deep in the villages of Serere.
I will guide you on what you ought to do with your demands one at a time;
1.Immediate audit of all road construction zones in Uganda
ACTION: Get a headed paper of the NRM Vice Chairperson (Eastern Region) and write to the Minister of Works & Transport and clearly indicate what you want to be the scope of the audit and how soon you want the report. Don’t forget to copy the President (NRM Chairman).
2.Mandatory compliance with international road safety standards
ACTION: Get your headed paper and write to the Inspector General of Police and ask him to elucidate the @PoliceUg strategy and action geared towards ensuring compliance to road safety standards and stamp out corruption in the traffic police. Also ask him to give you examples of where traffic police has brought errant road contractors to book for criminal neglect and related offences.
Don’t forget to cite for him which standards you are referring to and sending a copy to the President and Speaker of @Parliament_Ug
3.Arrest and prosecution of negligent officials and contractors
ACTION: Since you seem to have information on many other negligent officials and contractors, pick a phone and call the IGP or RPC of a particular region and ask for manpower to go and have these negligent officials arrested in full view of the cameras. I will personally gift you a Teso cock.
4.A national road safety task force to monitor and enforce safety protocols
ACTION: Move this into the Recycle Bin of your brain. This cowntry under the @NRMOnline rule has never been short of institutions nor laws. Simply demand a functioning @PoliceUg. At least be different from your Chairman who duplicates the work of each Government MDA with a unit in @StateHouseUg.
If you cannot see real sense in what I am advising you to do, please lie low like an envelope
Bwana @Mukulaa, I am going to out an article this week elucidating why I called you an ideological dimwit and political Pygmy. The best I can do for my country if I cannot participate in electoral politics is to unmask charlatans and political conmen. You can trust my delivery on this.
@lugamidia@mkainerugaba@BBCWorld It's we African that make that bad news for broadcast and later blame them. How on earth do you kidnap someone for fun?
I will only release Eddie to Mzee, when he gives me the order. He would have learnt the history of NRA/UPDF by then. And will understand that NRM is a party that represents the whole country. It can never be defeated.
The anger against Banyankore is unfortunate and should be redirected, but it needs to be understood. Without understanding it, it can’t be addressed. There is certainly national imbalance in distribution of opportunities in favour of Banyankore, and this can not only be seen but has also been statistically showed by government reports themselves (Eg EOC 2024). It has bred negative sentiments from others - which are not helped by arrogant responses.
This doesn’t mean that all Banyankore are benefiting, NOT AT ALL. There are very many desperate Banyankore without jobs, and many places in Ankore experiencing abject poverty and neglect. However, evidence of these is not logical proof for absence of ethnic favoratism in favour of group members. It is only proof that many haven’t benefitted, yet. Even when whites were dominating blacks under Apartheid in South Africa, there were many poor whites, and there were some rich blacks. But the existence of poor whites was not proof for Apartheid not being racially discriminative - the same can be said of racial discrimination in USA, and discrimination against women. Showing poor men doesn’t take away the fact that women are not generally systemically disadvantaged. Therefore, the common response by parading poverty in Ankore misses the point, is deflective, and comes across as defensive of the dangerous direction.
It should however be understood why such a response often comes out. First, many self-built, meriting, hard working Banyankore feel accused of something they haven’t benefitted from. Second, many struggling Banyankore obviously don’t see themselves in the picture of being favoured and feel (get) victimised for no reason. Third, the culprits (nepotistic and tribal beneficiaries) psychologically manipulate and mobilise other Banyankore to feel collectively targeted and fight back as a group - creating collective victimhood and fear. They make it appear as if they are being targeted simply for being Banyankore, and successfully keep the terrified Banyankore away from the fact that it is the benefitting tribalists/nepotists causing the anger from others.
You will therefore note a resultant trend where ethnic voting patterns change, and inwardly solidify. You will also observe a conspicuous trend in the names of those that defend or whitewash impunity online.
MK has been throwing around dangerous tribalistic lines and slurs for a while now. He is currently a big factor in endangering innocent Banyankore with his reckless unrestrained violent bigotry. How does a CDF kidnap a person (of another ethnic group) and then boast about teaching him Runyankore while torturing him! What sentiments do you think this naturally attracts? Moreover, where his chauvinistic tribalistic statements are not isolated occurrences but a clear pattern! It is not only a duty of Banyankore to condemn this dangerous fascist nonsense, but Banyankore need to note what it is causing towards them and condemn it more strongly. When such careless and arrogant behaviour (plus the inequalities) leads to ethnic violence, the primary causers are often insulated. It is the poor everyday Banyankore that they cause double victimhood. Big beneficiaries will either run to safety or use their security to protect themselves trouble.
Stop blocking discussions against tribal issues (pains), or else, we are building up for something worse. Raising the matter isn’t hatred for Banyankore. Stop guilt-tripping & threatening those who raise it; silence should actually scare us. When people are quiet, you can’t know what they feel or are capable of doing. Among other measures, especially in addressing inequalities, MK must be stopped. He is fanning what he won’t be capable of stopping. It is unfortunate that his parents, who seem to be the only ones that can officially reign him in, are apparently doing nothing about it. We shouldn’t keep quiet until this explodes, none of us can expect to be safe - on all sides.
