You may have witnessed @CarlBovisNature at the centre of an attack on here. It’s by a troll ring run by one individual who has targeted others, including hedgehog charities, hedgehog rescues & nature writers in the same pernicious way, for years (vast amounts of screenshots & evidence to show this)-with brutal relentless online attacks using multiple accounts, some of which use vile language, centred around hedgehogs (I know, it seems very unlikely but it is the case). The aim is to defame & bring down their target. PLEASE do not engage with the accounts attacking Carl-I know you will want to (I do too) bc he’s bloody ace but they thrive off it-they *want* that & are gaining intense dopamine hits from knowing people are upset & coming to his defence. Report them tho & their vile tweets. There is no kindness or empathy there. None, only an urge to bring a brilliant creator down. The best way to help Carl is to ignore their toxic bile, block them ALL & engage positively with his wonderful bird photos as tho the gits do not exist. If they (she) have/has nothing to grind their axe against they will go quiet & Carl can recover. This kind of attack can do serious harm to mental health. We can put an end to it with silence-quiet strength. 🌿

BREAKING: CNN hurls MAGA pundit Scott Jennings under the bus by announcing that they do NOT endorse his claim that Mitch McConnell is alive and making phone calls.

Things are getting VERY fishy, very fast...

“As a CNN Political Commentator, Scott Jennings is not a full-time employee or journalist for the network,” a network spokesperson told The Daily Beast. “His account of a personal conversation with Senator McConnell reflects his experience and is not CNN reporting."

Jennings claimed during an appearance on CNN that he had spoken to his "old friend" McConnell for 20 minutes on the phone. He was trying in vain to tamp down on the spreading speculation that the senator is braindead or perhaps even totally dead.

McConnell was hospitalized three weeks ago after suffering a cardiac arrest and receiving CPR on site. Right after he was admitted, his wife Elaine Chao flew to China to meet with top-ranking CCP officials. Then, earlier today, it was discovered that McConnell's D.C. residence is undergoing dramatic floor renovations.

Something is definitely going on and his office refuses to provide a real explanation.

It would be a simple matter for McConnell to release proof of life. Even a photo of him weak in a hospital bed giving a thumbs up would suffice. Right now, his constituents have no idea if their senator will ever be returning to work.

Scott Jennings is a professional liar who spends most of his time defending Trump's endless crimes, abuses, and dementia-tinged mistakes. Dishonesty is second nature for him. He could be helping McConnell's camp cover up the truth to avoid allowing Kentucky's Democratic governor to appoint a replacement, followed by a special election. Or he spoke to an AI voice mimicking McConnell.

One thing is certain: We are not getting the full story.

My crime?
I posted photos & videos of Hedgehogs visiting my garden! 😱
As a result, I'm being accused of all sorts, from using my Hedgehogs for monetization, to not caring about wild animals. 🙄
I don't need to explain myself to my loyal followers who know the truth and understand totally my character and motivations.

To everyone else (mainly the followers of @HedgehogCabin) you really don't need to be so nasty.
You don't need to tell me how disappointed you are in me or advertise that you're unfollowing.
I will keep my eyes on the visiting Hedgehogs. If they show other signs of illness, if they come out during the day, if they stop eating.. anything, I will get them to our vets (our local wildlife rescue will not take Hedgehogs that haven't been looked over by a vet first... I know this as I've taken Hedgehogs to them in the past that I was concerned about, even though I don't care about animals apparently...)
In the meantime, I'll keep feeding them, keep putting water out for them and won't unnecessarily stress them out by catching, handling and taking them to an alien environment.
By the way, this particular Hedgehog broke out from its biscuit meal to very nimbly and efficiently catch and eat a passing moth! Something I'd never seen before... but a pretty good indicator that its not actually, in fact, close to death.
As for monetization, I make very small amounts, and it's all declared and added to my income as part of my little business. I do it for the love... I've been sharing my wildlife photography and experiences here for 11 years, in exactly the same way as I do now. I don't need or want to do or say anything controversial at all, the one sure way of earning more here.... my account is about the least offensive account you could possibly find on Twitter! 🐦🦔❤️

🚨BREAKING: (Chicago suburb, St. Charles) ICE agents smashed a handcuffed man’s face into a stone wall, then assaulted a U.S. citizen, multiple times, once they realized they were filming.

In the video, multiple ICE agents have a man in handcuffs. While he is completely under their control, and not resisting, they smash his face into a stone wall.

A U.S. citizen begins asking for the man’s name, while filming... note that he is not interfering, blocking the agents, or preventing the arrest in any way…. But that doesn’t stop the ICE agent from chases after him, while another agent threatens him with a taser.

As the citizen is actively backing away, the agent continues walking toward him, and aggressively shoves him backwards.

Even after the detained man is being escorted to the vehicle… and the legal observer is nowhere near the agents, or their cars… that same ICE agent continues shoving the U.S. citizen for no apparent reason.

And while he is standing on the public sidewalk, another agent walks over and points a taser inches from him, and then turns around and points his taser at other innocent people, who are just standing and watching.

Americans have a First Amendment right to record government officials performing their duties in public. Threatening, intimidating, or assaulting someone because they are documenting law enforcement, violates that right.

And slamming a person face, who is handcuffed and not resisting, into a stone wall is excessive force.

This is exactly why it’s important to always record anytime you see ICE agents.

Because when there isn’t video evidence, we’re told to trust the government’s version of events. And more often than not, their version is filled with lies.

But when there is video, the people filming often become the next target… just for documenting what is happening.

And that’s what makes this so alarming.

This is happening across the country, almost every single day. Americans are watching videos of people being thrown to the ground, beaten, threatened, shoved, tased, and intimidated by federal agents… while never seeing anyone held accountable.

When a government refuses to investigate or discipline agents who violate people’s constitutional rights, it sends a message that they can keep doing it.

And that’s exactly what we’re seeing.

The Constitution means nothing if the people sworn to uphold it can violate it without consequence.

And as long as this administration refuses to hold ICE agents accountable, Americans should expect to keep seeing videos like this… because impunity breeds abuse.

Since February 24, 2022, Russia has launched (very well over) 140,000 drones and (much) more than 13,000 missiles of various types at Ukraine.

Since September-October 2022, it has waged a large-scale, deliberate campaign to destroy Ukraine's energy and heating infrastructure. It has effectively wiped out every major oil depot, the country's only large oil refinery, and most of its thermal and hydroelectric power plants.

Yet here we are.

In 2026, in the fifth year of the full-scale war, I'm writing this tweet from my home in Bucha, the Kyiv region, with high-speed fiber-optic internet and electricity. That is only possible because Ukraine's air defenders, energy workers, and the Ukrainian people as a whole have shown extraordinary resilience, heroism, and an unmatched ability to adapt in order to keep this country alive.

What's more, across the vast stretch of Ukraine, from the front-line regions in the east to the EU border, thousands upon thousands of gas stations are fully stocked with every type of fuel, from LPG and diesel to premium gasoline.

And even now, amid all the mess around the Strait of Hormuz, fuel prices have surged, just as they have around the world. But the fuel itself is there. Along Ukraine's major highways, including the Warsaw Highway where I live, fully stocked gas stations every few hundred meters.

That became possible because starting in 2022 Ukrainian businesses completely rebuilt the country's fuel logistics and learned how to supply the entire nation directly "on wheels," without relying on large storage facilities. As a result, many gas stations across Ukraine today look and operate like the best ever roadside diners in the United States or Europe.

All of this is happening during a war, under daily waves of missile and drone attacks across the entire country.

Meanwhile, the mighty invincible Russia is now sliding into the most severe nationwide fuel collapse in its history, stretching from its western borders all the way to Siberia. And all because of Ukraine's campaign of striking Russia's oil industry with cheap, simple drones --- that has been going on at full scale now for few months? Half a year? A year? A little over a year?

And this is just beginning.
