Are new zealanders aware we have the highest rate of indigenous women in prison per capita in the world? Almost 70 percent of women in jail are Māori. Wish we could get outraged about this and not about people lining up for maccas.
During lockdown, we’ve seen a drop in assault & sexual violence claims. We’re concerned that some people may be delaying seeking help, or don’t feel safe reaching out. In our bubbles, any violence is not OK. But it’s still OK to ask for help.
