Since for these people left = only anti-usa. They are pro Russia, pro IR, pro any dictatorship, theocratic or not, that oppresses its people as long as its anti-usa. They do politics like football fans, no moral ideology behind it.
The discourse around this specific panel reminds me that acab tends to go out the window for people as soon as they don't *look* like cops because they haven't actually dissected what it is about cops that make them bad.
As a Black American, I hate how Europeans talk abt “American history” like only white ppl get to claim it. Europeans came here carrying out the atrocities they now ONLY blame “Americans” for, then act like Black/Native history isn’t American too. We are Americans too.
My fic writing hot take is that everyone is asking the wrong question when it comes to characterization. "Would he say that?" is only part of it. What you really should be asking is, "What would happen to make him say that?" There lies the real joy of writing fanfiction
