As a part of my @NLTeachersAssoc presidential campaign I am providing words of support from colleagues with Testimonial Thursdays. This week mentor and friend Neil Kearley offers his words of confidence:

Holy Heart HS Valedictorian applauds fellow women of color for persevering in a white man's world and calls for a permanent cease fire in Gaza. Loud cheers, no boos. St John's you're all right tonight...
@NLTeachersAssoc members are working hard right now to end one academic year and prepare students for another school year. Just a final message to offer contact throughout the summer for careful consideration of your vote in November 2024: https://t.co/4eN6fFmNC8

Meritocratic politicies in schools are so harmful.
Being a trauma sensitive school includes not falling into the trap of rewarding children for things they only have so much control over- like grades, behaviour, and attendance.
Absolutely true. And what tired tired rhetoric the "groomer" nonsense is. It's not about "protecting children" and it never was. Bigots need to stop using children as their shield. It's cowardly.
@kindergartenken Happy pride Ken! These comments are TIIIIRED. If only they put that kind of energy into things that would actually help protect children but we all know that it's not about that. 🙄
Honoured and humbled to have been nominated for 2025-27 @NLTeachersAssoc President. Visit https://t.co/Y32vgzQSZe for information on my experience and interest in education.
