They avoid the 2nd apron, but I don’t think the Thunder as contenders should be that concerned about the 2nd apron.

BREAKING: Epstein survivor says Todd Blanche left her convinced he doesn't care about the case

Epstein survivor Annie Farmer said a forced meeting with Blanche, secured only after Sen. Thom Tillis demanded it as a condition for moving his attorney general nomination forward, did little to answer any of the many questions she had for him.

"He was not at all convincing that he cares about this, about doing better in this case,” Farmer, who testified against Epstein and has spent years fighting for accountability on behalf of survivors, said of her meeting with Blanche.

Farmer said her disappointment with the meeting “only strengthened my resolve to speak out against his confirmation. She described it as “rushed and reluctant from the start.”

The meeting took place only because Sen. Thom Tillis made a sit-down with Epstein survivors a condition for advancing Blanche's confirmation as permanent U.S. attorney general.

"I felt that he was only meeting us because his hand was forced," Farmer said.

Survivors had waited a long time for an opportunity to meet with someone at Blanche's level and came prepared with serious questions. Instead, she said, they were met with defensiveness and a lack of meaningful answers.

Blanche initially claimed he was there simply to listen, but that quickly proved unsatisfying to survivors who were seeking information and reassurance from one of the most powerful officials in the Justice Department.
As the meeting continued, she said, frustration only grew.

"I think he could have done such a better job of meeting the moment, meeting those feelings, expressing empathy in a way that was believable and authentic," Farmer said.

Instead, she said, Blanche came across as defensive and dismissive.

Farmer is a woman who helped expose Epstein’s notorious sex trafficking operations and has spent years advocating for victims.

Survivors hoped the meeting would be a rare chance to press the head of the Justice Department directly, but it instead reinforced their concerns about how the case is being handled.

After finally getting a seat at the table, Farmer walked away believing that one of the most powerful officials in the Trump Justice Department simply doesn't care enough about the case.

Todd Blanche is clearly loyal only to Donald Trump, and not the U.S. Constitution.
He is absolutely unfit to be confirmed as U.S. Attorney General.

I think Beshear's unwillingness to push on this shows he is not the fighter Dems need for the White House run in '28.

It's the same walking on eggshells that gave us Merrick Garland.

If he can't push on McConnell's health, then why would we think he has the drive to go after Trump cronies, to root out the corruption the entrenched, and to fight to prosecute those who aided foreign interference.

I actually thought he was a strong wildcard pick with potential for the '28 ticket. Not top of my list, but not bottom either.
