@ddayen He actually is the perfect trojan horse for neoliberals. He was practically unopposed for Wis Dems chair when he first ran (despite being from out of state) because he was backed by son-of-a-billionaire Chris Abele who controls Dem politics in Wisconsin.
@chrislhayes @AsteadWesley Since the 2010 midterm debacle, WI Dems have been led by son of a billionaire Chris Abele and the trojan horses he controls (like Ben Wikler and Mandela Barnes), but he donates to Republicans, destroyed pensions, and sold off public land to private developers as Milwaukee Co Exec
@williamfleitch@GQMagazine Grandma Got Run Over by a Deer District is a headline that could be written. The Bucks ownership foreclosed on 10s of 1000s of homes in Milwaukee, then were gifted $250 million in public money, including an $80 million unfunded commitment from Milw County

@williamfleitch@GQMagazine If not you, then who will criticize the design of the Deer District, which really represents the Bucks owners success hoarding the inner-most concentric circles of the Bucks arena's economic impact (paid for by $250 public subsidy)?
Their long-suffering fans will keep suffering
Unpopular Opinion: The Deer District is BAD because the Bucks' billionaire owners own all of the businesses trapping those fans in the #DeerDistrict, away from the local businesses that were supposed to benefit from the $250 million public subsidy those billionaires received
@bessbell Nothing makes our 17-month-old son crack up as much as sneezing. He loves it so much, he's recently started fake sneezing to get a laugh.
My wife and I oblige because we support his comedy, but we are also preparing to home school.
@rossacrosswi Evers keeps Wisconsin Dems/WFP happy with woke press releases and keeps Republicans/neoliberal donors happy by not using his authority to achieve any real change.
@7im It's odd no one heard about these comments at the time since @ironstache was running for Congress in his district. The Stache didn't call for Beth's resignation then, but now he's got quotes! Seems like it would have helped to have gotten rid of this guy in 2018...
@ramonashelburne Gov Evers' police reform bill won't get a vote, but he does have unilateral pardon power to reduce the 23k+ prison population in WI, which is 30% over-capacity. 43% of the male prison population is black, compared to 6% of WI. @Giannis_An34 please demand that Evers use his power!
@ramonashelburne Mandela Barnes knows it's impossible to get a vote on police reform bc the WI State Assembly is controlled by unhinged Republicans in safe, gerrymandered districts. Barnes got elected by telling people what they want to hear, not by telling the truth and fighting for real change.
