this week has been awesome, can you imagine how fun it'd be if all of these were bundled together in some sort of electronic entertainment expo lol thatd be cute i think
Cool fact I learned about the art of Destiny
Did you guys know that all those cool dot textures and stuff on some of the backgrounds are from old Mariner Maps? Learning this made them 6x cooler to look at.
NO MATTER what anyone says about the mgmt of destiny, the passion the creative team put into the world of destiny NEVER went unnoticed. Very few games will ever touch the level of immersion the creative team hand-crafted. From the concept artists to the VA's. Thank you 🖤
To the Destiny 2 community,
Thank you.
As artists, our goal has always been to create worlds filled with wonder, mystery, beauty, and adventure. But what brings those worlds to life is you. You take our designs, our napkin sketches, our "wouldn't it be cool if..." ideas and transform them into something real. Your creativity, your passion, and your love for the game give our work purpose.
We've always believed Destiny could be a place where expression is celebrated, where players can see themselves and each other in the worlds we build, where every Guardian can forge their own legend—and you proved it.
Watching your Guardians grow, embrace new allies, take down bigger and badder bosses, solve mind-bending puzzles, dodge death traps, avoid Taken boopers, and overcome every Raid challenge we throw at you—all while looking incredible—has been a constant reminder of why this universe matters.
You shaped it. You made it matter. You are the light of Destiny.
With Monument of Triumph, we set out to create a series of love letters to Guardians, new and old. We shared a preview last week of armor inspired by early designs from the original Destiny but have also sprinkled some winks and nods throughout the rewards releasing tomorrow. We hope they feel like a small thank you for everything you’ve given us.
From all of us on the Destiny 2 art team, thank you for supporting us, inspiring us, and continuing to bring this world to life in ways we could never have imagined. You give our art meaning.
With gratitude,
The Destiny 2 Art Team

Forgive my tears…this one was tough. Thank you to every Warlock + Guardian who kept this legendary game alive for these past wonderful years. It has been an honor and privilege to have taken this journey with you. See you starside… 💙

'CODE GEASS' director Goro Taniguchi says modern anime are suffering from a lack of directorial oversight
"The result of everyone doing things in a disconnected way is junk food."
He warns that the rise of 12-episode anime has contributed to a breakdown in the ability to train new staff
"Three episodes aren't enough to learn anything. The training system falls apart."
The whole problem is that Paramount/Nickelodeon hates Avatar, and there are a bunch of reasons for that.
We are not talking about a small animated show with a niche fanbase. We are talking about a massive hit, the most-watched Western animated series ever. ATLA was not just+
Uncle Iroh voice actor Greg Baldwin criticizes Paramount over the state of the 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' franchise
“Paramount doesn’t care about ATLA ... The new regime at Paramount is straight up evil"
"I can speak freely because I’m 65 years old and my pocketful of fucks is seriously depleted"
"Working as a paralegal at various studios in LA for thirty years…I had the opportunity to observe studio executives closely. They’re generally a slippery and clueless bunch who shouldn’t be allowed near anything remotely creative…but the new regime at Paramount is straight up evil"
"These soulless bastards have nothing but contempt for a show about grace and redemption and the struggle against fascism"
"ATLA is a mystery to them."
"They. Do. Not. Value. The. Franchise."
"Who should lose their jobs to AI? Answer… Studio Executives. Ironically…those cockroaches will be the last to go"
"In conclusion… Fuck you, Paramount"

I genuinely appreciate Geoff’s contributions to gaming. I’ve defended his award shows because they really do bring valuable visibility to a hobby I care about.
But while it’s true that SGF “started in a spare bedroom in 2020,” it’s also true that he grew up with parents who were IMAX executives and that he’d already been involved in multiple award shows long before SGF existed.
This post makes it sound like he wasn’t already established by 2020 and that everything he’s achieved came purely from grit and perseverance, which just isn’t the full picture.
I appreciate you Geoff, but maybe ease up on the performative humility my dude.
Mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita has been awarded the Best Artist award at the 57th Seiun Awards (2026).
Yamashita served as the designer and concept artist for the numerous machines featured in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, including the GQuuuuuuX, Red Gundam, White Gundam, GFreD, and several other mobile suits and warships throughout the series. His work helped establish the distinctive visual identity of the series!
The Seiun Awards are among Japan’s most prestigious honors for science fiction, recognizing outstanding achievements in the genre across literature, media, and the arts. Congratulations to Yamashita on this well-deserved achievement!
i was this guy for a while
convinced myself that women were a distraction and i was “locked in”
but really i just didn’t know how to talk to them and used my business as an excuse
you can build something great and still have someone next to you
the guys telling you to lock in have never had a girl genuinely care about them and think all of them are hoes
Dear The Weeknd,
