Older conservative economists promoted property taxes over income & sales taxes because they drove home the cost of govt. Nobody knows how much they pay in sales taxes. Increases in sales tax rates are easier to sell based on connecting them to "good" causes. Extra .1 penny for X

I sometimes get asked why I switched from spending most of my time fighting the Left to debating within the Right.

The culture is changing in a fundamental way. I'm convinced the future is right-wing.

The only question is whether it will be right-wing socialism run by petty and stupid tyrants, or right-wing liberty ordered by a virtuous populace. I will fight and die to make sure it's the latter.

Smart play by Saints to run kickoff out of end zone. Took clock to 2 minute warning ensuring Giants would only get ball w/ 1 minute or so versus maybe getting it w/ 1:40. Giants had made smart play trying to get 2 minute TO by kicking FG early rather than using time going for TD.
