@evanwm91 My short stint in industry made me realize that while academia allows for you to schedule your own time, there’s a lot to do. In industry you can still somewhat schedule your time but the work load is significantly less that it is less taxing. Also, no working/thinking after 5!

@DavidNTompkins LENA actually records the whole audio. Then researchers will feed the audio file into the LENA program (or other algorithms) to count the number of words from the caregiver and from the child. The current algorithm is very limited from my understanding.

@DavidNTompkins From my view, that’s seems a bit hard to do. The algorithm can only count the number of words and not the content But I’m not the LENA expert here @Sharnya_G might have a better understanding of of this.
