Still no notice on Q1 targets, @JasonWong12@RebeccaVHarris can you explain this? and more to the point how can you stand to be associated with @NHSEngland when they treat your colleagues with such disdain? @TheBDA is it time to quit NHS provision? Feels like it!
@Jochurchill4 answer to parliamentary question
‘NHS England and NHS Improvement have set a 45% dental activity target. This target is based upon clinical advice and modelling from the office of the Chief Dental Officer’
@JasonWong12 any chance of letting us see the modelling?
Good point but to be fair, it’s better than the scheme in Wales where @MarkDrakeford is slowing down the vaccination rate “because the vaccinators will have nothing to do” if they continue at the present rate
If the North East is smashing vaccination targets shouldn’t we be allowed to push through and vaccinate as many people as possible to reduce the impact of the the pandemic? @Matt_VickersMP why not ask @MattHancock why other parts of the country aren’t keeping up?
@JasonWong12 You’re right Jason be kind to staff, especially those who are being placed in the position of having chase patients into dental practices to satisfy a target! We’re having to chase people to hit the numbers, fairly sure it’s Government policy for people to stay at home! Confusing
@JasonWong12@EddieCrouch What is the justification beyond raising funds for the treasury either from patient charges or clawback? Money is the only logic and it’s got nothing to do with providing care for our patients!
@JasonWong12@EddieCrouch I’ll take the bait, can you publicly explain why a dental activity target with punitive terms is a good idea when the whole country is being told to stay at home and act like they are carrying the virus for their own safety? Asking for a profession @Jochurchill4 @MattHancock
