Today is yet another lovely day here in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. We're still officially in "Phase 1A" of our statewide #COVID19 vaccination rollout.

I read that a "barrel of oil" 🛢️ contains around 42 gallons of crude oil. Once refined, it produces 19 gallons of petrol, 12 gallons of diesel, 5 gallons of jet fuel, around 1.5 gallons of propane, and 9 gallons of butane/asphalt and other miscellaneous items. #wti #brentcrude

Around this time last year, if I recall correctly, oil prices were collapsing due to #COVID19 and the remnant carnage of a #SaudiArabia vs #Russia price war. I've noticed the price of #gas creeping higher on local gas station signs and just checked - #BrentCrude nearly $70 today.

For anyone wondering, the upward price disruptions that have been affecting our supply chain have now started reaching our end customers. We've communicated these adjustments to our top customers with whom we maintain a collaborative working relationship. #inflation #pricehike

I've generally tended to view seasons from a meteorological perspective, less so from an astronomical perspective. Therefore, March 1 effectively signaled the start of Spring! It'll be another roughly 20+ days for astronomical Spring to come into effect. #SpringBreak #Spring🌼🙂

We also suspect that if the $USD experiences persistent degradation in comparison to peer currencies, input costs throughout our supply chain will continue to escalate. I've been tasked with studying this issue more closely and sharing my findings.

It's not just metals prices that are surging: "Lumber prices have hit $1,000 per thousand board feet, an all-time high, according to data from Random Lengths. That's double the price from three months ago." 📈

To be clear, this isn't an exclusively #COVID19 product line. These products were originally designed to help provide reasonable accommodation pursuant to the US-based ADA. They also just so happen to be helpful for health and hygiene and in demand during the pandemic.

Good morning. An observation: Aluminum and the components of stainless steel (iron, chrome, nickel, molybdenum) are all up approximately 25% to 75% in the past 3.5 months. This is causing pricing disruptions through the supply chain. Question: Is this evidence of #inflation?
