Is Burning Really Good for an Ecosystem?
Token burning has become one of the most popular mechanisms in the crypto industry. Whenever a project announces a burn, the market often reacts positively because many people believe that reducing supply automatically increases value. While burning can certainly strengthen a token’s scarcity, it is not always the best decision for an ecosystem. The real question is not whether burning is good, but whether it creates more long-term value than the alternatives.
Every ecosystem has limited resources. Once a token is burned, it is permanently removed from circulation and can never be used again. That means those same tokens can no longer be invested into attracting developers, supporting new businesses, rewarding ambassadors, funding builders, or accelerating ecosystem growth. Burning increases scarcity, but it also removes future flexibility.
On the other hand, distributing tokens without a clear purpose is equally dangerous. If rewards are given to people who do not contribute meaningful value, the ecosystem experiences inflation without corresponding growth. More tokens enter circulation, but adoption does not increase. In that case, both the community and long-term holders ultimately lose.
The healthiest ecosystems understand that supply and demand must grow together. Burning helps control supply, while ecosystem incentives help create demand. Developers build applications, ambassadors expand communities, businesses bring real-world utility, and users generate transactions. These activities create reasons for people to own and use the token beyond speculation.
This is why the discussion should never be simplified into “burn or don’t burn.” The better question is whether a token creates more value by becoming scarcer today or by helping the ecosystem become significantly larger tomorrow. If investing those tokens can generate far greater adoption, utility, and network activity, then the long-term value created may exceed the benefit of reducing supply immediately.
In the end, successful ecosystems are rarely built by aggressive burning alone, nor by unlimited distribution. They are built by maintaining the right balance between scarcity and growth. Burning is a powerful economic tool, but it should support ecosystem expansion rather than replace it. The strongest blockchain networks are those that know when to reduce supply and when to invest in the people and products that create lasting demand.

InterLink Proposes Reverse Auction For ITL Treasury
InterLink Labs (@inter_link) has proposed a voluntary buyback framework through a Reverse Auction.
Holders would decide how much ITL to sell and the price they would accept. InterLink Labs could selectively repurchase tokens to build a long term treasury.
The company said the mechanism aims to create a transparent treasury strategy. Participation would remain optional for every community member.
InterLink Labs is also asking the community to help shape the future of repurchased ITL.
One option would permanently burn the tokens to reduce circulating supply. The other would reward developers, ambassadors, builders, and ecosystem contributors. The final direction will depend on community feedback.
The proposal will now be reviewed by the ITL Foundation with community feedback.

Building a Stronger ITL Treasury for the Long Term
As the @inter_link ecosystem continues to grow, one of the most important questions is how to manage a long-term ITL treasury in a way that benefits the entire ecosystem. Today, InterLink Labs has officially submitted a proposal to @itl_fdn requesting approval to launch a Reverse Auction mechanism.
Under this proposal, community members who wish to sell their ITL can voluntarily submit both the amount of ITL they would like to sell and the price they are willing to accept. Based on these submissions, @inter_link Labs may selectively repurchase ITL directly from the community. Participation is entirely voluntary, giving every holder complete control over whether to participate and at what price.
The goal of this initiative is not simply to buy tokens from the market. It is to establish a transparent, fair, and efficient way to gradually build a strategic ITL treasury while allowing the market itself to determine value through voluntary participation.
One of the most important discussions surrounding this proposal is what should happen to the repurchased ITL. There are two possible directions. The first is to permanently burn all repurchased ITL, reducing the circulating supply and strengthening the scarcity of the token over time. The second is to use those tokens to reward the people who continue to build the ecosystem, including ambassadors, developers, builders, KOLs, community contributors, and future ecosystem initiatives. Both approaches provide long-term value but through different mechanisms—one by reducing supply, the other by accelerating ecosystem growth.

Over the past weeks, we completed a full review of our KYC process. Every step is now tightened against the legal requirements of the markets we operate in, and the process is stronger for it.
We're also building a clear path for users under 18, who will be able to complete KYC with verifiable parental consent, where local law permits. The design is being done carefully, because this is worth getting right. @inter_link is built for 1 billion people, and that includes families and the next generation.
Curators are being trained to fully grasp the updated requirements at every level. That means eKYC speed should return to normal soon, faster processing, less waiting, especially for Level 3. And as KYC improves, the migration moves with it.
